Introduction
I have been with my boyfriend for nearly a year and a half. I was the person who pushed him to persue his dreams. Unfortunately for me, his dream happened to be a career with law enforcement as a Police officer. Only those who have a loved one in law enforcement can really understand the emotion behind this blog. I am just at the beginning of my journey behind the badge and I could not be more terrified.
I know close to nothing about what I am getting myself into but I am prepared to take this risk. I am using this blog as an outlet for my emotion towards my boyfriends journey to his dream. I truly can’t express in words how terrified I am for him. We have gotten into relationship breaking fights over his career choice; getting to the point where we are both in tears and ready to end it. This guy is the love of my life and I cannot imagine a life without him.
Often we make sacrifices for those we love. And I was in love with him long before he had chosen this career. This whole situation is a huge learning process. One where I will learn compassion, acceptance, sympathy and ultimately what it is like to be in a relationship with someone who has a second love.
