Welcome to the official game dev account for “Those Who Eat Must Weep” or for short- TWE!

The plot: You're just another night-shift worker at a run-down gas station- until a strange, captivating customer starts showing up at odd hours. Curiosity pulls you in… but you're not the only one getting attached. Turns out, your mystery man isn’t exactly human- and his idea of affection is dangerously intense. Navigate a deadly game of attraction, protect your friends, and try to make it out alive as you're courted by something monstrous. Things can and will go wrong. Just how little do you know about the world around you?

The demo is in the writing stages- however; the game is planned to be released as a virtual novel! Ideally, I'd love to gather a small team, but as of now, the dev team is just two people, though I do hope it grows!

Apologies for the delays, I was having technical difficulties (literally, both my writing device and art device decided to be buggy rip) however I’ve gotten better issues resolved so progress should be back on track!

More concepts in the works! Since the human designs are coming along nicely I can start working on characters intro cards (stay tuned!) I decided to focus this weekend on more monster designs!

Alex

Appearance: Short with messy brown hair, usually hidden under a worn beanie. Often sporting tired, heavy eye bags. He collects pins and odd trinkets- some with odd backstories. Dresses in cozy layers, always ready for the cold, which seems to cling to him like a shadow.

Personality: Laid-back and mellow, but prone to zoning out into his own head. Nervous habits like nail-biting hint at deeper anxieties. A habitual smoker and stoner, using his vices to escape reality.

Rick

Appearance: Tall and muscular, with some large tattoos. His lip piercings are one of his favorites. One eye is a striking prosthetic designed to unsettle- his favorite is a wolf’s eye that seems almost alive. He often styles his hair and clothes to provoke and spook others.

Personality: Teasing and edgy on the surface, but surprisingly mellow and protective once you get to know him. Rick thrives on pushing boundaries and playing with fear, but he knows where to draw the line. He’s a complex blend of dark humor and fierce loyalty. Though he will always love to tease.

Appearance: Tall, lanky, and pale, with sharp features mostly obscured by dark clothing, a hat pulled low, and a mask that hides his expression. His bright red eyes glow faintly in the dark. Heavy boots echo quietly behind him.

Personality: Socially awkward and painfully odd, D speaks little but watches everything. His silence feels like a warning- like he’s carrying a secret better left unspoken. Despite his unsettling presence, he’s not aggressive- just... distant, like he’s always on edge.

More characters will come outside the demo as well!
