It's hard to imagine where we would be today if not for the invention of the Jack. Capable of lifting thousands of pounds the Jack had a huge impact.
Louie McGreen was born an orphan on approximately 1985. The Manila birth records building, holding his birth record, burned to the ground, taking with it, when and exactly where he was born.
Louie McGreen was working at the BUDA Co. located just outside Cavite, in Kadiwa, Dasmariñas, when he invented the jack. BUDA Foundry and Manufacturing Company supplied the nation's railroads with special track-work and the jacks, drills, scales, levels and signals needed to maintain the right-of-way. The company also had a reputation for building durable velocipedes, hand cars and push cars for line-crews. McGreen’s job was to discover, or invent, ways in which these materials could be moved, lifted and transported at optimum ability. Since then the Jack of all trades had been useful to everyone for it is like a helping hand but with more muscle. It can practically lift anything around 6tons or below. The company already have sold around 740,000 Jack of all trades around the Philippines. This proves that our product would not upset you but even more satisfy you because of its durability.
The ‘J4ck Of All Trades’ is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or to apply great forces. This is mainly used for cars because of its size and the power to lift almost 3 tons of its weight. Jack of all trades is handy because when you use this tool it automatically lifts heavy objects just by pumping its handle. Also, the size of the Jack of all trades is medium size so you can easily put it inside your car or in your bag whenever you are about to lift some heavy objects in your line of work. The Jack of all trades is helpful for the mechanics because of its durability and the maximum weight it can lift can pretty much do all the heavy duty with ease. It is perhaps one of the company's breakthrough for it can help everyone and could practically lift anything.
Car Jacks are one of the metal tools that are known for critical safety precautions to those who works underneath vehicles. Putting up a vehicle on jack stands correctly can be the difference between a successful maintenance/repair and a tragic accident. A vehicle jack uses the power of hydraulics to lift a part of a car allowing the user access to change a tire or perform repairs or maintenance. Jacks come in a variety of types and weight ratings. IMPORTANCE
You use a jack stand any time even a single wheel of your car comes off the ground, but particularly when you plan on having your body between your car and the ground. The reasons you should use jack stands religiously are as follows:
1. Hydraulic jacks can and will occasionally fail, particularly cheap ones. If you are solely relying on a jack to support your car, your car is prone to falling. This can cause damage to you or your car. A jack stand is a failsafe against this type of event.
2. For every wheel that’s in the air, it is recommended that you use at least one jack stand. To maintain stability, you always want your car to have four points of contact with the ground or with a jack stand.

Since a radio ad will only be aired for a short period of time it is essential to capture the attention of the listeners on the first seconds that is why McGreen decided to make the radio ad pure, full of action, angst and an edgy vibe to it without a touch of humor. The radio ad uses the same idea and narration of the TV ad but excluded to it are the funny parts to give way and highlight the strength of the product.
For the radio ad it will be broadcast to different radio stations targeting the morning timeslots and during rush hour periods to capture the attention of the listeners and potential buyers.
McGreen Corporation decided to incorporate humor in their ad by creating a parody type of ad and using Jack and the bean stalk as an inspiration. But instead of Jack as a person who is climbing the stalk McGreen Corporation changed it into “Jack” which is the product itself the reason behind this is that since the tagline of the product is “J4CK THAT CAN LIFT YOU UP” the company thinks that it is a good representation and symbolism of what the product can do as well as capture the attention of potential buyers.
The advertisement for the product would appear in magazines as well as brochures that will be handed out in malls, parks and other establishments.
Each individual has their own unique priorities and passion in life. Some loves to be in the kitchen, some are fascinated with art and culture, some are green lovers, and some are left in the garage. Fernando, a local from Pangasinan, grew up beside a small car workshop, he knows a lot about cars --- give him a picture and he will tell you the model, the year and all other things. He also loves to go down the car and see what the problem is; he doesn’t mind all the grease that will stain his shirt. With this, the small car workshop expanded throughout the city and was now well known to everyone that needs their car fixed. What is his secret?
Fernando's secret is the Jack Of All Trades' car jack. It's an all in one car jack, it has the capabilities of a mechanical jack, hydraulic jack (Pneumatic jack, Strand jack). Also each jack stand is well made, reliable and it’s also rated for at least two tons and above. And it does not end with that, it’s also customizable. You can customize it, whether it’s the color, size and design. It’s like a Swiss knife, the difference is that instead of a knife it’s a jack. Since Fernando is a resourceful person, the Jack Of All Trades' car jack is perfect for him.

For the TV ad McGreen decided to present it in a unique and entertaining way. The commercial opens up in a serious tone mimicking movies that are serious and full of action but there is a plot twist because just before the product will be introduced Jack from Titanic appeared in a cameo this is where the element of humor will be used in the ad ones again. After the appearance Jack the narrator will proceed to introduce the product.
The commercial will air during in the morning and during primetime periods where the timeslots are guaranteed to have high number of viewers.
The song A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes was first released in the Walt Disney Classic movie Cinderella. In the scene of the movie, this is sung when Cinderella was telling her friends to never stop dreaming as it will come true if you just believe. The music and lyrics was from the wit of Mack David, Al Hoffman and Jerry Livingston.
“Have faith in your dreams and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through.” Dreaming is already part of our lives since childhood. We all cherish and treasure those dreams as someday we know it might come true. These dreams are our motivators and they make us want more than what this life has to give us. Unlike in the movie, we have no fairy godmothers, no animal friends who can help us, and no magic that will leave a glass slipper to our dreams. We only have to work hard for our dream and may this dream serve as our reminder that life has so many great things to offer and as the lyric goes “If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
This song has taught me to hold tightly into my dream as someday it will come true. It is never impossible to dream, just think of a way on how you can make them real. A dream is a wish your heart makes and that dream will always be possible with a touch of hard work and passion.
I am that girl with only one sense left. I was left with one sense which is the sense of hearing. I cannot see things, feel things or smell and taste things, but I can definitely hear things that are around me. Although I cannot see my surroundings, I can define what kind of environment I am in through vibrations and through the people who says what they see.
As a girl with only sense of hearing, I can sense that a fire is on my way and flaming its heat through the roads I am now taking. I can hear that the fire is flaring its ashes and taking trees and things as a whole. I cannot feel the heat of the fire, I cannot see and smell the smoke coming from the fire, but I can hear how huge and hot the fire is. I am a girl on fire and the flame is just right in front of me. The sound of the fire taking the path and eating those things near it. The sound of people screaming for help because of the smoke that is suffocating them. The sound of people crying for their lives and making their way out of the fire. I am a girl on fire and I can hear that the fire is already burning my clothes. I can hear that the fire is glaring and the flakes of the burned objects dropping and my things are already burned. I am now really a girl on fire.
I still can see, feel, and smell what’s happening around me as I can hear the vibrations, their conversations, and their cry on how our youthful place was now being taken down by a fire and destroys it. I still can live with the sense of hearing and I am truthfully lucky to have it.
In Our lives, there will always be that one person who will care for you and understand you, give you efforts and just be there for you. This person is the one you thought would be the greatest partner-in-crime and or can be the greatest partner in life; but you can’t just tell unless you realize it and will only and forever be the one that got away.
I consider my best friend as the one that got away. Our story was full of regrets. We were the perfect partners and perfect combination as what he said. Destiny really did a great job in making us meet in the weirdest time. We were each other’s motivator, support, cheerleader and best friend, until we realized the feelings we had for each other. One waited and other couldn’t tell the feelings he has. As the song of Katy Perry says “We keep all our promises of us against the world.” We should have kept everything and just be us against the world. Now, we can’t turn everything back to what happened before. Now its different. What we only have now is just a history and a mystery that can’t be solved. A mystery of our love story which no one knows what happened next.
“In another life, I would make you stay so I don’t have to say you were the one that got away.” This phrase is what I felt after everything that happened. We regret everything and maybe we have to wait for another life to happen. Never let someone go if you think he can be your perfect partner. He doesn’t deserve to be the one that got away.
“The one that got away”, 5 words that always make me sad, 5 words that makes me cry sometimes, 5 words that can hurt me the most and 5 words that I wish I didn’t let happen. In short, those 5 words make me regret about my decision.
I, myself had someone whom I can call “The one that got away”. I can relate my story to Katy Perry’s song “The one that got away” because I never planned that one day, I’d be losing him. So here’s how it goes, I chose to let him go for the sake of my own happiness. Yes, he was my happiness even though problems got along the way. I was happy being with him regardless that we are always fighting. As they say, “It’s better to lose the argument than to lose the person” But, my situation was merely different. I know we cannot avoid arguing, but you can never blame me for choosing to let go. I got tired, I got hurt most of the time that’s why I gave up. The reason is not because I don’t feel anything towards him anymore but because as I’ve said, I chose to be happy even if it’s not with him. I chose to love and give importance to myself again after being lost for loving him. Some would probably say “If you’re tired, rest. But never give up” Yes, I always say that to myself whenever I feel like giving up on him. But I also realized that you can never force something to happen for you to be happy. He was my “the one that got away” for I realized that he could be the person I will be spending my future with. He’s so precious, so loyal and so honest to me that he will choose to say the truth even though it will hurt my feelings. Our situation taught me so many things, and one of those is not to be selfish and not to be martyr when you love someone so much. You do not own somebody or someone. And that I should learn to let go when everything is falling apart even if we didn’t intend it to happen. It’s okay for me to see him happy even without my presence as long as that will make him okay. And all I could ever wish for the both of us is to be in good terms despite what happened, despite him being the one that got away from me.
What we had was maybe “Right love at the wrong time”. I learned that there would always be a second chance for us to be friends but maybe not as lovers someday and a chance for me to correct my mistakes from the past. All these experiences taught me a great lesson: let go and let God do the rest.
People come and go but memories don’t. It may be good or bad memories instead of forgetting it completely we should learn from it. And we should not be afraid to fall in love and take risk as many times as we want as long as this brought happiness and inspiration to us.
High school were the days that I was young and naïve. When everything was just a play and tease with my team.
We have been friends since elementary, have been teases with each other frequently; and we will just laugh at it. I was close with your friends to the point that it is already in their system to tease us. Two years have passed and it did not stop. You gave me a box of chocolates with a help from your friends. I appreciate it and thought of it as a friendly gesture. But, boy, I was wrong. It was far from friendly because I finally learned that you have a crush on me. It was awkward, I didn’t know how to act. It was my first time. I’ve always been the girl who is “one of the boys” but for some reason you liked me. You’ve always been silent about it, just smiling at the corner every time that is being talked about. Ending? Nothing. You did not say anything; you did not confirm. I didn’t want to assume something that I am not a hundred percent sure about.
Today, it has been three years since the last time that I saw you; and here I am, still wondering what would have happened if things clicked the way we thought it would be.
Silence, numbness, scentless –nothing! Just the sense of sigh in your daily life. Can you imagine your life with just having that?
I for one is a proof of such. I witness life like a movie, endlessly playing without a sound. I appreciate life as it happens right in front of me. Seeing you laugh without a sound makes me happy for it felt like you’re genuinely here with me. Seeing you cry is hard for me, I could not console you with words but I could hug you will all my might for you to feel what I can only see. Beautiful food plating that were served to me, where you’re the only one that could smell the aroma of thee. I appreciate what life has got for me, for I understand the true meaning of love, happiness, faith that I got in me.
You are the one that handles your faith. To conquer life as it is or go against the flow of current. Remember to always choose the one that will make you feel contented.
“Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love” said by Albert Einstein. Have you experience falling in love? Being in love they say is a serious matter. Before you could actually mean and say you are in love and you love someone, it really takes courage. Having someone to love could be an inspiration, and being loved back by the person you love could be a motivation. Is it bad to be in love if you’re still at a young age? Does age really matter for having the capability of falling and being in love? Or would you still choose to follow where your lead you?
Older people who have actually experienced falling in love always tell us younger ones that love can wait as long as its intention is pure and true. Elvis Presley said in his song can’t help falling in love “wise men say, only fools rush in” the message of the song tells me that love is going to happen when it is supposed to happen, there’s no need for us to rush. And somehow, it keeps playing in my head that it’s not a sin if I fall in love because it’s nice to have someone who is concerned about you. To have someone who actually asks how your day went through. To have someone who is willing to hold your hand in front of the crowd to show how proud they are to have you. To have someone who wouldn’t give up despite all the problems I am facing and would still choose to stay by my side instead of letting me solve it on my own. To have someone whom I can eat with and share my stories. And it actually puts me in a better mood thinking that there’s someone out there who can make me smile.
Love is like the sun coming out from the clouds and warming our soul. You feel very ecstatic on how it easily affects you. Whenever I feel like it’s bad to fall in love at a young age, I will always play the song “can’t help falling in love” to remind me that we cannot avoid it. Love is a hard emotion to come by because it’s the greatest thing a person could have ever felt whether it is for God, family, friends, enemies and even for your own self.
Some people especially children loves the sound of a pouring rain, some do not. Some loves to wake up at a gloomy weather, some do not. Some likes to go outside when it’s raining, but some people just wants to be at home.
Most children feels happy when it’s raining because there would be no classes if ever there’s a typhoon and they get to spend their time at home sleeping and being awaken by the sound of the car splashing outside whenever it passes and some children would prefer to play outside under the rain with their playmates or siblings and use a water gun. They even get happier when they make a sound whenever they are walking. Admit it or not, everyone had undergone through that stage. Now that we are already grown-ups, we do not like it when it’s raining and you have to go outside for school or for work. Adults would just love to stay at home resting, watching television, eating and even just hearing the sound of a pouring rain on their rooftops. As we get older, we just want to spend quality time with our family contemplating about life.
In conclusion, not everyone loves the idea of raining because it would only benefit the younger ones. But for us adults who need to be present at school or work even when it’s raining hard without suspensions, do not benefit from it. However, it would be an advantage to both children and adults if there’s suspension also to the older ones when there’s heavy rain.
I can hear the music, the laughter, the birds, the cars passing by even the carols that brings so much joy and life because of this sounds I can hear clearly, breathe fully and live freely but all changed when you came.
As I was sitting there alone listening as the wind blows and leaves rustle, the sound of waves crashing through the shore. Everything was peaceful, everything felt nice and sounded wonderful. Just when I thought I was alone I heard footsteps that grows louder and louder then suddenly stopped. I asked my self is it real? Or is it just a fragment off my imagination? But I heard your voice I heard you mutter a small hello. That voice that halted my thoughts and also my world. I can no longer focus on the other sounds, I can only focus to one voice and that is yours. I replied to your hello and listened more to your voice as you share your stories, thoughts and even your musing. I just sat there silently listening to you. I can hear you smiling as you talk and as I hear your voice I imagine your face. Doing this brought warmth to my heart and happiness to my soul. Until one day I can no longer hear you, your voice or even your laugh that brings so much joy have I lost my hearing? But I can still hear the music, birds, the cars passing by why can’t I hear you? And then I realized you were gone.
Everything was silent I can no longer hear clearly you took my hearing as you left and took the brilliance with you. As quickly as you came you also disappeared the same way. Just when I thought I can’t hear I heard a faint voice in my head saying “let it go” and so I let go of all the memories and your voice. I can hear again but everything was faint as you took the brilliance away.
Destiny and fate. Two words that almost have the same meaning. They say that every person in this world have someone who is destined for them and that fate will bring them together. Soul mate that’s what they call it but what if destiny played a joke on both of you?
Every human being has the capability to love and a desire to be loved. Whether it is a love for a family, friend or intimates. People fall in love, when we fall in love we feel like we are in cloud nine, everything we see is hearts and flowers but when we fall in love we must also be prepared to get hurt. Love can also be painful and traumatic sometimes. For me this happened already. I fell in love he was the perfect one for me I was the perfect one for him everything was perfect for a while but it was not our perfect time. We both have priorities that we started to slowly drift apart. He is the one but he also got away looking back now I don’t regret anything because even though our journey was sad and painful both of us grow up and learned a lot from this experience. I like to think of it as a lesson that made me better not bitter that is why I think when I fall in love in the future I will handle things much better and maturely.
