Growing old in a prison cell isn’t for me. I’d rather be on the run. And if I can’t run with my body, at least let my soul be free.

why watch "La Casa De Papel" when you can just get hit by a bus and get the same feeling?
you either love it or i guess you don’t
tbh that whole interview could be a bunch of really gay gifs if you slow it down:
Lol when you realise that ryan ross wasn’t the child genius everyone makes him out to be bc all his ‘super deep amazing genius metaphor lyrics’ are quotes from other people’s work
Lmao for starters there is absolutely nothing wrong with being inspired by something. Referencing works is acceptable and is something done by many commendable artists, writers, etc. Ryan was pretty open about his influences. He never tried to pass stuff off as his own. Also, millions of other people were exposed to the same resources. Suppose Ryan was an average kid, why didn’t everyone come up with panicesque lyrics? I’m assuming you’re referring to Afycso cause that’s where he’s quoted Palahniuk, The Sound of Music etc. Let me remind everyone that Ryan was around 17 when he wrote those songs, yet the quality of the lyrics is definitely superior to that of many songwriters with a lot more experience. Songs like Camisado are about his personal life and they’re very well written. If you compare them with most generic pop songs and take into account his age and situation, you’ve got to admit, he was pretty talented. Secondly, he did progress as a songwriter, which is clearly visible through later songs like Nearly Witches, Cricket and Clover songs, She Had The World, Behind the Sea as well as post split songs.
I don’t mean to offend anyone. Liking his songs is entirely a matter of personal opinion. But that boy is underappreciated as it is, without us belittling his lyrical ability for lacking the depth it so obviously possesses.
“all of his ‘super deep amazing genius metaphor lyrics’ are quotes from other people’s work”
@prettybren… uh do you not understand the actual point of those metaphors? in one single line he created an incredibly strong statement by juxtaposing the innocence of sound of music with his las vegas scene. the major artists throughout history drew on others before them & subtly referenced stuff people already knew. the way Ryan used Chuck Palahniuk was brilliant, original, incredibly creative, and he CONSTANTLY told interviewers what he was drawing from… he wasn’t trying to sneakily plagiarize because he couldn’t come up with his own ideas lol.
as it should be

Enhanced some old panic pics 👀
That’s the closest brendon will ever be to greece 😂
brendon urie in taylor swift’s “miss americana” documentary
brendon urie on cbs this morning talking about notes for notes
when panic! had started we just head dived first in and not knowing anything about the industry, not knowing what things to be wary of, what things to jump into. yeah, it definitely would have helped to have some kind of guidance to… yeah this is how you write a song and this is how you produce something…
what the fuck
