We adopted Kito in January 2019, when he was estimated to be 6 or 7 years old. According to the rescue, he was one of nearly 200 hoarded cats. On a scale of affectionate to feral, he was in the middle of the bunch. He instantly decided Sebastian was his best friend, but for the first week or so, he wanted nothing to do with us humans. With a lot of patience and trust-building, he has grown close to us, yelling at us for dinner or pets, and letting me put him on my lap for brief periods. I thought this was the most handling he would ever be comfortable with.

But tonight, after almost 2 years, he hopped up on the couch next to me and snuggled in 😻😭

These two are so cute I can barely stand it. When they're not playing or literally spooning, Kito follows Sebastian around and mirrors him. Sebastian, despite being kind of a bully sometimes to his sister, is perfectly happy to accept Kito's friendship and cuddles.

Kito was rescued from a hoarder situation with 193 cats, and if the other 192 are all as cat-lovey as him, I hope they've all found homes with a cuddle buddy like Sebastian.
