Maybe you remember the term BYOB from your party days? Basically your invitation says, if you are looking for a wild time, bring it with you. There is some truth in that for everyday life. You can show up to work, home, church, the grocery store, bank…looking for somebody else to make your day enjoyable. You show up expecting somebody else’s joy to make your day better. Then when they are a sourpuss, you feel slighted and offended, quickly running to social media to complain. Instead, why don’t you get your joy supply prepared before you leave home and be a generous supplier to everyone you encounter. Put your expectation on God and not man. Choose to fill someone else’s cup today.
