dream until dawn by ThreePlums
It all feels so distant in moments like these, as though Hua Cheng’s presence, the weight of his head on Xie Lian’s chest, the smell of his hair and the sound of his breathing, fill him so entirely that he could never have been truly lonely. As though this moment is so blissful that it could reach back to those days and warm even the coldest nights.
He sighs, boneless, and lets his fingers wander over Hua Cheng’s scalp in swirls. There is one thing he knows to be true in this moment, here in a rain soaked shrine at the end of a long and lonely road. Everything is finally alright.
