When Fern first joined our family, she was shy, scared, and territorial. In just a few weeks she’s turned into a major softy. She now shares her food, loves burrowing into piles of soft blankets, and (as pictured here) demands pets while looking out over Lake Michigan and basking in the sun lol. It has been making our hearts explode to see how she’s transformed. She’s just so cute!!!!

When dinner isn’t even for 30 more minutes but you try to drop some subtle hints that it would be okay if it was early.... 🙄

Fern. 8yrs old. We just rescued her and are her new forever home!! She went on an adventure today to the icebergs on Lake Michigan. She was trapped in a puppy mill her whole life so when we are out she sits down a lot and just stares at everything. The world is still a little overwhelming, but she seems so grateful.

For those who don’t follow us on Instagram, Meet Fern! Working with Heart of Michigan Bernese Rescue, we have helped to give this girl a better life. She came to us with no name and was bred aggressively for 8 years in an Amish puppy mill in Indiana. We look forward to making sure she gets to live her best life going forward. She’s the sweetest girl and we love her so much. 🥰 Ferns are a symbol of shelter, good fortune, and happiness - so it’s the perfect fit.

Tug is heathy boy! He just turned six, got a clean bill of health on Wednesday from the vet, and was groomed for the first time in his life! He looks so handsome even without his Signature Grinch ToesTM
