our fav sneeze magazine gave cappello a sweet x-mas present when they asked him to shoot iggy pop in late december. @kennethcappello and our miami starchild @m_rubin met up with the icon to hang for the afternoon making heads pop off on instagram cause there aren't many people we fan out on, but iggy is indeed the man.

yes, we are beli-bers. when kenneth cappello got the call to shoot justin's holiday album, it was like a little slice of heaven. after seeing 'never say never' (amazing if you haven't seen it) this press & packaging shoot meant 10 hours of shooting, 9 wardrobe changes, 8 games of ping pong, 7 racks of wardrobe, 6 late night pizzas, 5 rows of sneakers, 4 label peeps, 3 team bieber bros, 2 very lucky fan autographs, and 1 teen dream fulfilled. muah!

the latest slamxhype interview with @kennethcappello and @cicciolinadadog takes us behind the scenes on the beck's green box project, complete with cameos from pig smalls, biggie elloway, angus the great dane and c&c's dynasty of dogs including ramon, karen and walter. but at the center is cappello's first lady, cicciolina, who is the breakout star of the project making it the perfect precursor to her upcoming book and brand launch. move over taco bell, there's a new bitch in town.

we are so amped for the launch of the beck's green box project, a huge AR art show that's giving funding to artists all over the world. big congrats out to our pal freddie at protein london for curating a dream team. we helped sage vaughn, meryl smith & kenneth cappello on their projects, but look forward to seeing the magic that's instore from UVA, warpaint, sam spiegel, nick knight, kathy grayson, andrew kuo, and shaniqwa jarvis too! cheers to that.

we can't get enough of @curtiskulig x @joejonas 'see no more' lyric vid. with over 600K views on youtube in just 24 hours, the collab project came about after @kennethcappello had kulig on his set for the album packaging shoot. with the single released last friday, we're counting the days to the full release. tick tock.

TIME TRAVEL 

With NY Times on our minds after Cappello's shoot for them Wednesday, and spotting our author pal Andrew Kessler amongst it's pages yesterday, it feels like our planets are officially aligning. Kessler is the genius author behind Martian Summer, a book that chronicles 90 days on the Phoenix Mars Mission. karma karma is the new brainchild of an art service's creative director brendan duggan. as the grand purveyor of fine book design for art stars including christopher wool, ryan mcginley, dan colen and nate lowman, it's no wonder that his new shop at 21 downing features a curation of new publications and vintage favorites that we'd line our shelves with any day. our favorite? adventures in poetry, because ed ruscha is obviously the man. but you already knew that.
