During the time they spent as Apprentice Xehanort, I like to imagine that the lines of individuality between Terra and Xehanort got blurred due to the amnesia. Eventually they did become distinct again, but for a while they were just sort of stewed together, their thoughts combined into one.

This, of course, means they also shared a memory. So when Terra is unpossessed, he ends up struggling to differentiate between what is his actual childhood memories and what is the ghost of a man who turned him into a puppet on a string for over a decade. Some are easy—reading with Aqua and playing pranks with Ven—and some are… far more difficult—running down the city streets to grab something at the bakery for lunch, studying how hearts work for his upcoming exam…

Nonetheless, there is one memory that just… doesn’t make sense to him. It’s Xehanort’s, obviously—he knows for a fact he’s never had such a dream before—but…

Well. Terra’s not exactly sure what he expected when he pulls Ven aside and asks him about Ephemer and Lauriam and a purple-roofed town, but accidentally jogging his friend’s memories of the times before the Keyblade War wasn’t on the list.

In which Yozora cheats and Ventus gets carried away...

I imagine Terra and Aqua being a lot more sturdy than your average person considering they were Keyblade Master candidates, so I feel like Ventus is not really used to holding back when it comes to his hugs and Sora is an unfortunate recipient of that haha.

My thoughts behind the Xion piece is that when Xion eventually gets comfortable with herself and her identity around Sora, she exhibits playful behavior like rough housing and teasing which I imagine she adapts from Roxas and Axel.

Sora sees Xion teasing him as her way of opening up to him, her former rage towards him evolving into one of something more docile and equivalent to sibling banter. Seeing as she once was the same person as him, I feel that Xion is the best at empathizing with him and picking up on his cues.
