Historians and archeologists have argued that the Snaptun Stone, which was carved at around 1000CE and is on display in Denmark but originated from Norway or Sweden, is the only piece of evidence that Loki was in fact a God and might have had a cult. This is because the runestone features Loki's stitched lips from the myth in The Eddas in which he cut Sif's hair. After that, Loki was then sent by Thor to the dwarves to barter with them in exchange for Sif's new hairpiece.
When he returned, Loki brought with him the hairpiece and a small hoard of weapons for the Aesir including Thor's hammer, mjolnir. He also brought a dwarf with him, who was expected to cut off Loki's head in exchange for the items he had made. But at the last minute, Loki told the dwarf, "I told you you could have my head -- I never said anything about my neck or below." Since oaths were sacred to the ancient Norse, the dwarf then had to admit that Loki was correct with his loophole. Then Odin proceeded to let the dwarf sew Loki's lips shut. Without Loki's consent (obviously).
And, well, if all the evidence they have to explain that the Snaptun Stone is a carving of Loki is the stitched lips, then they have A LOT of explaining to do. Below you will find pictures of the Snapton Stone and alongside are ancient Norse mask amulets. Loki is associated with masks both because of his genderfluidity and because of his unpredictable nature. Side by side, its pretty hard imo not to see the obvious resemblance the amulets have with the Snaptun. Yet archeologists and historians have them listed solely as mask or some cases man, and the ones below even have stitched lips.

The remains of a 1,200-year-old pagan temple to the Old Norse gods has been discovered in Norway’s seaside town of Ose. It is the first such temple found in the country. Though we know what the building was, based on surviving temples in Denmark and Sweden. The wooden building is large for the time, about 45 feet (14 meters) long, 26 feet (8 m) wide, and up to 40 feet (12 m) high. Archaeologists think it was built sometime in the 700s, and would have been the site of sacrifices (and more mundane religious observances) during the midsummer and midwinter solstices.
The Norse began building these large “god houses” in the 500s CE. They replaced simpler cult sites, often outdoors, that had previously sufficed for worship. Larger god houses became popular as Norse society became more stratified and dominated by wealthy families, who are thought to have built god houses as part of their taking control of the cults of the gods.
The Old Norse religion was suppressed from the 1000s, when Norway’s kings forcibly imposed the Christian religion, and destroyed god houses to enforce worship in the new Christian churches. Perhaps including the one at Ose. (The one above is a reconstruction, the real site has only the foundations remaining.)
I really do not like that our faith is being referred to as a “cult” but this is some interesting info.
