Everyone in the new Batman movie either wants to fuck the guy or adopt him and honestly? That's valid.

Unironically the best part of The Batman was seeing him helping search and rescue at the end. So many Batman stories end with Bruce still as an outcast, perched on top of a gargoyle staring down at the destroyed city below him. That final detail of having him staying behind to help even after all the villains were taken care of was more of a contribution to the superhero film genre than anything else to come out of the past ten years.

Something about the War of Wrath being named what it is, especially as the last battle that finally overthrow Morgoth, feels significant. Especially since it’s the battle after the Unnumbered Tears, or the battle that destroyed any hope of victory without help from the West. Hope is gone, tears are shed, but the Elves still have an Age’s worth of righteous fury to unleash, and by Eru, Morgoth is going to feel every ounce of it. 

I think there’s more to be said here, but I keep getting stuck on a war named for wrath being what finally conquers evil in Beleriand.
