and now everything reminds me of you, i don't know what to do.

My precious little baby boy has left this mortal realm on july, the 8th after a year-long battle with a disease still unknown to us. He left a month early before his 8th birthday. It's a lot of 8's, which, of course, is just a coincidence. He was my best friend and i am deeply heartbroken right now. I've been battling with clinical depression for the longest time, so this loss leaves me absolutely empty-handed in the face of death. I wish to say that it happened quick and he didn't feel a thing, but, sadly, it was quite the opposite. His last days on earth were an absolute suffering. He could barely move his legs and was fully disoriented. He died in agony. But, the least i can say is that it's over. I hope heavens are as nice and as soft as they seem to be.

I hate that i can't be with you right now, son. But the saddest thing is — I've had a lot of time with you. And now, there'll be a lot of time without you.

Forever is the saddest word.
