The Dragons
A Drastic Change (Intro)
"I know I said I'd take care of you tonight, but I didn't think you'd get THIS drunk." Theo spat at me while holding my hair back. His bear brown eyes squint at me as he leans closer to me. "I-I was on a mission today." I giggle before widening my eyes and letting the rest of the liquids in my body pour out. I place my hands on the floor and start to lift myself up, stumbling a bit over my feet. Theo let's go of my hair and hoists me up. Gripping my back, he flashes his right wrist and glances at the time. His eyes widen and begins to guide me up the sidewalk. "Gesh, w-what's going? W-where are w-we going in such a r-rush?" I say in between burps.
Theo inhales a gust of wind and blows it out through his nose. He says nothing and starts picking up his pace while dragging me with him. His sudden pace change causes me to stumble constantly on my feet. Annoyed, I say "Theo! What the hell?"
His aura changed. He seems too determined now, like if he was about to run out of time for something. I could tell he was being serious but it really isn't like him to leave me out in the dark. We always tell each other everything. I'm sure if I wasn't drunk right now, I'd be less annoying, but before I could even think about it, my mouth started to move, "What's your i-issue? You didn't tell me we needed to be somewhere by a c-certain time." He was beginning to worry me.
Tightening his grip on me, we manage to move even faster than before. At this point, all bystanders leaving clubs glance at us down the side walk and shout incoherent words. I felt my consciousness slowly disappear and I couldn't tell if it was really the alcohol making me feel this way. Although, obviously I am drunk, I am not drunk enough to black out... just yet.
My thoughts halt at the feeling of a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I groan, "Fuck. What the hell?" The pain slowly starts to increase and so do my screams. Theo in a flash picks me up and places me on his back, carrying me piggyback. The pain began to numb my body and all my strength is being drained. It spread out throughout my entire body now, and I feel my eyes begin to shut. Through my chest, I could feel Theo's back start to relax, but I could hear his heart banging.
"It's okay, Bee. Just close your eyes. I'll take car-" His voice put me at ease. My world shut out before I could even hear him finish and for my myself to reply.
