Trying to figure out how I like doing comics! I feel like I get a better idea of the live area I have if I draw it traditional first… And as always, I love to color.

Concept is from a boring Lupin comic I’ll never finish because I have bigger, better, SEXIER Lupin comics to do! I really did like this page though, so it got to be an experiment (may post the other page sketches later…) Also I like to believe he gels his monkey hair back- hence the cute bangs here.

A student of Alexandre Cabanel, Bussière often produced work which combines the Symbolist approach, the art of the English pre-Raphaelites and that of historical painting by artists such as Jean-Paul Laurens. He interprets the latter’s universe in a phantasmagorical style, with flickering colours and affected forms which also evoke Jean Delville.
