These Nutella Morning Buns are a tasty treat for brunch or breakfast. They are soft, sweet, and taste like Nutella and hazelnuts, which you can't resist. Great for giving yourself a little treat to start the day!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 2/3 cup milk. 1/2 cup Nutella. 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts. 1/4 cup powdered sugar for glaze. 1 tablespoon milk for glaze. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Pour in the milk and stir until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky. On a floured surface, knead the dough a few times and then roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread Nutella evenly over the dough and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts on top. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the long sides, to form a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slices and place each slice into a muffin cup in the prepared tin. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through. While the buns are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Once the buns are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly in the tin. Drizzle the glaze over the warm Nutella Morning Buns and let it set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious Nutella Morning Buns!
