Rodimus/Thunderclash fluff times!! I decided to give myself a theme for all the week’s prompts: Slice of Life! Those classic filler episodes that don’t advance the plot but focus on sweet character interactions. You know the ones: the beach trip, the snow day, the summer festival. We’re doing it all!!
The daily prompts for each chapter:
1. Star - Thunderclash draws comfort from his Rodimus Star after a nightmare2. Build - Riptide and Drift challenge Rodimus and Thunderclash to a sandcastle contest. Beach vacation guest starring Thunder’s mutiny buddy, Riptide, and featuring some bonus Dratchet! 3. Ropes - Rodimus rushes to the rescue when Thunderclash goes missing during a visit to a frozen alien world. Guest appearances by Nautica and Whirl! 4. Ember - When Rodimus doesn’t show up for movie night, Thunderclash sets out to find him, knowing bad memories about Nyon often drive Rodimus to seek solitude. 5. Fair - Rodimus and Drift spy on Thunderclash spending time at the fair by himself.Featuring bonus cute Dratchet!! 6. Royal - After the Lost Light unintentionally passes through sovereign airspace, some alien royalty demands a conference to discuss the trespassing. There’s only one problem: the Lost Light doesn’t have any royalty… yet! Guest starring Brainstorm and Nautica! 7. Adore - Thunderclash organizes the crew to create a special surprise for Rodimus to show their love and appreciation for their captain!
Buckle up, buttercup! It’s about to get cute!!

Love Notes
my first chapter of my fic for thunderrod week! i cant wait to see everyone’s works! :D
-
Rodimus starts finding a series of love notes outside the door to his hab suite. He’s determined to find out who is leaving them behind. (read it here on ao3!)
-
“And stay off of level seven tonight! Magnus is on duty there, and he’s not gonna be as nice about it if you run into him.”
“Yes, sir! Thanks for the heads up!”
Rodimus huffed fondly as Tailgate sped by him with a cheery wave, the hum of his hoverboard rising and falling as he zoomed around the corner. He made a note to ask Tailgate about where to get his servos on one of those sometime. High speeds, slight peril, and the constant possibility of giving Ultra Magnus a spark attack? What wasn’t to love? It could never replace meteor surfing, but it’d be a suitable substitute until they came across another shower.
He turned to his hab suite door to tap in the passcode when a flash of red caught his eye. The crest of his helm twitched slightly as he plucked it off the frame of his door. It was a note—a real, paper note. It felt strange to have something so flimsy in his servos. He gingerly wiggled a digit underneath the shiny red seal that was keeping the paper folded shut. It popped off smoothly, revealing a single sentence written in offensively neat, bold, black penmanship:
You put the brightest of stars to shame.
