nudge needed something to get her mind off everything, so she began coding. she always viewed it as a sort of puzzle, something that she could pick at slowly but surely. it always was something she defaulted to, especially when overly emotional. she almost didn’t hear poppy come in, though she caught her from the corner of her eye. she glanced up, not expecting the mundane request, and gave a nod. “yeah, it’s in my bathroom, let me grab it,” she said, bounding to the bathroom and snatching the tube off the sink. she brought it back out, extending it to the girl, before following the girl’s finger to her open laptop. “it’s just something i’m coding,” she said, with a shrug. “a virus.”
A lot of people had been getting at each other’s throats since the code had been called. Thankfully, Nudge had never really been that sort of person. At least if everyone else on the floor decided to be a nuisance, Poppy could rely on at least one person to be chill about it. She gratefully accepted the toothpaste. “Thank you so much. You’ve done everyone a favor.” Her eyes traveled back to the monitor. “A virus? What kind of virus?” Poppy was complete shit at robotics and hacking. She’d needed help with it since the beginning, a fact that she hated admitting. “And why?”
