A big part of the holidays is food. I know it’s scary. You should still enjoy yourself. Play games, talk to friends, decorate, sing, dance, make something. You aren’t going to have fun if you binge and then feel bad the rest of the day. Don’t let food control you..
Don’t eat until you are sick. Take small bites, chew well, set down your utensils between bites. Take your time so you can listen to your body.
Eat food you actually want. Sometimes when you get into the binge mindset, you grab any food, even if you don’t really like it. Don’t grab a bowl of ham if you hate ham.
2,000 calories is normal. And going over is normal for holidays. Don’t stress. You won’t gain a real pound of body weight overnight.
Don’t set goals you’ll probably break. Goals like ‘I won’t eat anything on Christmas’ or ‘I’ll stay below 500 calories everyday until New Years’. If you break them, you’ll loose trust in yourself. And it’ll most likely lead to a binge.
Cut your proportions in half. (Metaphor)The eyes are bigger than the stomach. Most times, people just take more food than they want or need.
Eat a salad before your meal. If you go into a meal super hungry, you’ll probably end up taking more than you want. Fill up a bit with something low cal and healthy (fruits, greens) so your mind isn’t clouded by hunger.
Don’t feel bad about being picky. If you take something you don’t like, you don’t have to finish it. Or maybe you just don’t want it anymore. You don’t have to lick your plate clean.
You have worked hard. Enjoy yourself. (Also thank the people who cooked food) It’s always good to be grateful.

i like never knew how chunky my thighs were until now. ik they still are but not half as bad as they were before.
Things to do instead of binge
•read a book
•clean your room
•work out or exercise
•take a shower
•brush your hair
•do your makeup’s (if you like that stuff)
•start a new tv series
•finish a tv series
•play a video game you like
•think about why your doing this
•think of how in control you are and don’t lose that
•do your laundry
•watch a youtube video
•listen to your favorite music
•drink your green tea or coffee
•drink plenty of water
•try something new
•draw/sketch/paint
•think of how you’ll regret eating
• remember only you can control you
