     “Well i had a solo recon mission in Agrabah, and while i was investigating, I saw the man…Aladdin, i think his name is? Jump in front of a heartless to protect that woman…and well it got me thinking about how much you mean to me. After that, I had to fight a really tough heartless, and then i didn’t have a chance to bring it up to you. So, how has your day been, Xi?” Roxas said, casually, glad that the awkwardness was leaving.

“Oh, that’s really cool! I mean, like, that was really brave of him. Most people don’t have the ability to defeat the Heartless, so for him to do that…..” She trails off, hoping that Roxas understands what she’s saying. She coughs. “And, um, I’m glad. That I mean so much to you, I mean.” 

Xion shakes her head. She doesn’t want to keep making this awkward. “My day was okay. Not nearly as eventful, it seems. I just had to take care of some Heartless in Twilight Town. Nothing too challenging.”

Roxas thinks it over a bit, but once she changes the subject, he discards the thought “Well i hope we have a mission together soon, its no fun having No one to talk to, especially since i can’t exactly talk to heartless. You’re fun to talk to, even when we’re just talking about our recon mission”

Xion laughs. “Yeah, I hope we get a mission together soon as well. I’m sure the Heartless aren’t very good conversationalists. Besides, I like talking to you. It’s fun for me too, even if it is just about our missions.” He looked like he had been wanting to say something else, but the moment seemed to have passed. 

“The two of us work so well together it’d be a shame to not have the chance to work together just because Saix is a grump” he adds in agreement.

“Mmhm! I really enjoy the ones that we get to go on together. It’s a lot more fun going on missions with your friends.” She chuckles a little at the mention of Saix’s grumpiness. He really was pretty grumpy. She didn’t think she’d ever seen him smile.

“Y’know, Axel told me once that he and Saix used to be friends before they became nobodies but i can’t see it. Axel is way too serious for a guy like Saix to put up with him. That’d be like Lexaeus being friends with us. Pretty sure he just tolerates us because we’re helping make Kingdom Hearts”

“Hmmmmm. I don’t know. Maybe someone in the castle has some history books or something? Like maybe Zexion? He seems to carry one around a lot.”

“I think the one he carries with him is a weapon or something. He hits Demyx with it a lot at least. But im sure there’s a library somewhere. Sometimes i see Xigbar play cards with Luxord and when Xigbar loses, he has to give away some weird magazine. I tried asking about it but he said it wasn’t for kids, but I’m sure if there’s weird magazines then there’s got to be regular books, right?”

“I’ve found that most people who hang out with me tend to enjoy it, and this time shall be no different. We shall…” Roxas pauses, since he’d not actually thought that far ahead, due to him not thinking she’d say yes. “Do…something, i dunno, i’ll improvise”

As for the reason he’d asked her instead of Xion or Namine? Really, he could hang out with either of them whenever he wanted. In Kairi’s case, he’d have to travel to a whole other world just to talk to her

He had NO clue what to do, did he? He really was JUST like Sora in that way. A laugh parted her lips and she shrugged. “IMPROVISING it is, then.” Though he did sound a bit COCKY talking about others usually enjoying spending time with him, she may as well give him a CHANCE. “Alright, you better START thinking it now.”

“I’ve tried to give them names but none of them have any distinguishing features so i end up not being able to tell them apart, Maybe i should give them nametags, too. I think the moogles are selling them in bulk

“Nametags might be a good idea.” Xion chuckles a bit, thinking about Nobodies running around with nametags stuck to them. “Would you want some help making them? It would give us something to do besides eating ice cream all the time.”

“Sure,It’ll be like they’re our pets” Roxas remarks, flicking his hand to cause 3 Samurai Nobodies to materialize by them.

“These three are the ones who appear the most. I can tell its them because the last time i summoned them, i marked them with a marker so when i could actually give them something more permanent, i’d know it was them”

“Like name tags, right?” Xion looked at the Nobodies curiously, amazed that the same ones could be summoned or at least appear more frequently than others. She reached out to touch the marker stain on one of them and test how permanent it was, but it immediately jumped out of reach when she approached. “Do you have any ideas for names? Or maybe you could number them?”

“I was thinking of naming them after legendary swords since they’ve got blades but...theres like 8 of them and i can’t even think of that many. So, maybe numbering is best”

   “Both of you are rash and reckless but I’d have it no other way. You two make me so happy nonetheless and as long as you boys  keep yourselves safe I  don’t mind it.” Xion giggled softly before leaning over to kiss his cheek softly.
