my life is changing so much and its beginning to not make sense. i never got the chance to study overseas properly, and in many ways while im a third culture kid because of upbringing and disposition reasons in the physical ways ive always had people that were on paper aligned, even if inside i was wired in ways that im learning apparently made sense to noone, which was why i kept running online, here usually, to hide. but the world is catching up to me now in ways that i can go into the Real and slowly begin again to build relationships with people who are so shockingly aligned to me in ways that still make me feel inadequate. i am reaching heights that i didnt realize i was missing all along, and while there are some peers who still annoy the hell out of me, this finally feels right, it doesnt feel fake like some opportunities felt in the elite spaces i was in Back Then.

but the vertigo is real. the adjustment is real. and i dont know how to articulate this experience to people, because this was a journey i couldnt have embarked on more alone. there are many who have approximations of it, these founder types, thankfully. but the people i used to know? none of them can fully understand how or why ive done what i did, and how i got here. because one of the biggest reasons i could do it at all is i stopped talking to all of them. but its so lonely, and i just wanted a witness my entire life, this entire time, someone who saw me.

and it was the acute, horrifying betrayal by someone who saw me most clearly, more than i even thought possible, that really kicked all of this off in the first place.

ive always spoken in abstractions, like this. soon i wont have to any more, and that too will be strange.
