Between the airports, bus rides and the skype calls home; a selection of favourite moments from the road.
I happened to come across photos from this amazing photographer in an online article and looked him up because each photo had some sort of detail that captured my eye. That rarely happens. Also, main thing I love is that he takes traveling pictures. I could spend hours browsing through photos of places, especially the more personal ground work kind.
Check him out!
2015
I have always loved making lists especially for academic/professional goals and more recreational, "things to do in life." I think it's such a great way to stir you up and inspire you to strive for the things you want. When you start making those bullets, you'll realize that these goals of yours aren't exactly preposterous, and as long as you keep them in mind, you'll start making decisions that will lead you to accomplishing the bullet points. It may take a week, a month, a few years, but you'll find that crossing those babies off the list is an amazing feeling.
In highschool, I jotted down a full page of "things I wanted to do in my life" and stashed it away in one of my drawers. When I was nearing the end of my college days, I found it in my box of mementos, and of course, read it with excitement and chuckled at the young ambitious me. I had already done some of the things on the list and didn't remember that I had wanted to do them before reading my list again! Honestly, I'm quite the dreamer, and creating these lists (doesn't have to be written down, could be a mental list..but definitely try to remember your top five) reminds me that I can dream, and not to be cliche, but most of these dreams can come true not because of luck or magic, but because you will eventually make them happen.
Here's my list (NOT resolutions) for things to look forward to in 2015:
Philippines-Tokyo trip in April with my boyfriend and his family - We're going for his cousin's wedding in the PI, but there will be time for exploring. Tokyo will be all about exploring and eating delicious food :)
Weddings! - three this year
Passing the CPA - crossing my fingers on this one*
Promotion to senior in October

Have my mom visit Socal more often and cook Vietnamese food for me/ teach me how to cook some :D
Learn how to play the guitar - Nothing Else Matters by Metallica is my inspiracion right now ;)
Possibly getting a pup - discussion is still ongoing with the SO but we are thrilled at the thought of getting a shiba inu !!!
These are just a few things, but I hope everyone can try it out and make a list or two!
Have a wonderful and happy new year! xx
