[Space was blissfully quiet.]

[Tidal Wave liked the quiet. He didn’t mind the fighting, of course. He wouldn’t be an admiral if he did. Admiral. Tidal Wave still preened whenever he thought about how Lord Megatron saw him fit for that title.]

[Lord Megatron…]

[Safe to say, space left a lot of room for drifting thoughts. What was he doing again? Ah… Prowl. He had absolutely no opinions on Prowl. He didn’t care to know about Autobots in his cluster that didn’t affect him, even less about one from somefuck else.]

[Speaking of Autobots, he really hoped they weren’t getting any funny ideas about his internals. He tended to turn off a lot of specific sensors while ferrying as all the sensations that came with it were… overwhelming after a bit.]

[His HUD beeped softly to alert him of upcoming debris.]

“Turbulence… ahead. Be careful.”

"You got seatbelts?" She asked. Quietly, she reached for Airazor to hold her steady. A little techno-organic being thrown around in a room full of huge bots didn't sit right with her, especially since it was her girlfriend.

She glanced at Shredhead. How clumsy were they? Did she need to worry about them getting flung around in here?

Ugh. This was way too nerve wracking.

*Airazor was slightly confused why Shaddy was holding onto her. But she didn't mind her protective side, in fact she thinks it's cute. Plus it's not exactly hurting anything*

*Upon hearing the warning, Shredhead returns to themself, and reaches out an arm to brace against the wall, looking back to make sure the others are situated.*

*They hold out their other hand out after seeing how Shadowstriker looked at them.* "Would either of you like to...?"

For a moment, she just stared. Then, tentatively, she took their hand. "Sure." This was weird. This was SO WEIRD. Still, she appreciated their kindness. She nuzzled the top of Airazor's head. Not because she was nervous, of course not! She just liked snuggling her girlfriend. That's all.

*Shredhead makes sure their hold is firm enough to catch her if she falls, but still some room if she wants to pull away.*

*they watch as she moves in closer to Airazor.*

*it would be odd to ask, right? They can guess easily enough the nature of their relationship, but if they assume wrong they don't want to seem rude...*

*After another moment of thought, they tentatively ask,* "If I may, how long have you two known each other?"

*Airazor let a contented sigh escape from her vocal processor as she nuzzles a bit more into her girlfriends hold. A moment passes before she realizes Shaddy is not planning on answering their question"

We've known eachother for a few months, why do you ask?

"You two seem... very close, that's all. I thought you'd known each other for years from how... in-tuned you are."

*They choose their words carefully. They could be wrong, after all, and don't want the trip to feel strained from this one conversation. They make sure their tone is neutral, incase they think Shredhead will think different of them. They wouldn't, of course, but Airazor and Shadowstriker don't know that.*

"I admire what you two have." *They add, just to be sure.*

*Airazor seems confused for just a second before realizing what they mean*

Oh I see, if you're trying dance around asking if we're dating then yes we are. Shaddy doesn't like to admit it to other bots though, but I think it's cute that she's shy about it.

*Shadowstriker seems a little flustered about her girlfriends upfrontness, a very subtle blush creeping up her face*

*Shredhead releases the tension they didn't realize they still held.*

"Yes, that-- thank you. I hadn't wanted to assume, or make you uncomfortable." *They look to Shadowstriker.* "I won't say anything, though."

"Okay. It's... appreciated. Thank you." She didn't know what to say; she'd never really spoken to anyone about her relationships before, Airazor notwithstanding. The fewer people who knew who she was dating, the better. She didn't want to put her sweet bird in danger.

*Airazor looks up at her girlfriend, noticing that her grip is a little tighter*

You know you don't have to protect me, right? I can handle myself

[Tidal Wave started to slowly rock back and forth to weave through the various bits of rock and ice that came their way. He didn’t care to pay attention to the bots in his bridge. Their fuzzies weren’t anything important to him. Sure, it was technically fraternizing and technically he was supposed to report that, but other soldiers did worse and nobody cared. He tilted up to avoid a particularly awkward maneuver in a somewhat nauseating motion.]

*Shredhead pushes down the wave of nausea, adjusting their grip on the wall and their hold on Shadowrazors arm, focusing on keeping them all stable.*

*They just hope the dizziness will pass by the time they need to get Prowl.*

She leaned against the wall. This didn't help with the bumpiness, but it made her feel slightly less like she was going to be thrown out the wall. Airazor was still held close, of course. Keeping her little birdie safe was top priority.

[Boredom was clawing at Tidal Wave. It was mainly empty void in this sector. While it meant less… mess on his floors, it also meant being painfully bored. Usually, he could at least listen into the squabble of the questionably chosen high command.]
