End of day one and £80 spent in screw fix. The window is out. The silicone has been Stanley knifed off. And that weird metallic paint whatever have been scraped off. Win!!!

So I'm nearly at 5 years in the shop. It's time to deal with this nasty ass window at the back of the shop. Previous Tennant had silicone sealed the window closed... Smert... So when I moved in I cleared just enough to open the window... Now it shall begone.

So my Dad came down to stay for a few days and after he left i was tidying up the spare room, One of the cupboards in that room holds the towels, bedding etc and id had gotten a little sloppy with putting things away so i thought ill empty it out and tidy it up, also go through all the crap that had been dumped on the top shelf. then i saw the state of the paintwork, all magnolia ( I HATE IT) and patchy, and the giant hole left by the removal of a bit of skirting board that the boiler people removed like 12 years ago. so i emptied it and well its grown arms and legs.

Today was some DIY at the shop. The metal grate really needed sanding back and repainting so borrowed marks granddads angle grinder and stripped her back. and the bottom photo is one coat of paint. Still, need to do the inside and seal her up! but that's totally for tomorrow.

Mark and I cleared a bit of the garden. Got half the grass cutter and I seized the mower as apparently engines need oil! What! So maybe attempt the other bit tomorrow. I also weeded the flower bed and flower boxes. Mark tidied the paths and tbh it looks much better. Next job...lop the trees

Grass needs cut. But look at the flowers!!! OK the rest of the bed needs weeded. But it's been raining and kitchen roof!!!! So unfurled hostas from laurence, yellow poppies from Andrea, deep purple clematis from lidil and I don't know what the other thing is.

Bought this off ebay. Can't fucking wait. Don't even have to touch their dogs poop. Shove it in the cupboard and do a pick up on a Monday. Yas. Reported the mink in 3 today about his dog shitting. Wish they would all just take some responsibility. Gah rant over. Hope it arrives today

Got 1/4 of my flower bed weeded. Man I'm an awful Gardner. Planted some hostas from laurence too!

Yaaas removed my manky old strip light last night. I didn’t die. Did muck up the cables a bit but dad diagnosed over the phone so we are all good!!! Can’t wait to get the roof and new light done.
