as she got the ink ready, harlow would be lying if she had said she half expected to hear the other’s voice again, especially after how they both ghosted each other. she had only just recently gotten back in town after going on tour for months and was definitely not expecting to see the other’s face so soon. “tier, hi.” she replied as she grinned slightly. “i’ve been good and you? thanks, uh so do you.”
“you know me, always in some kind of trouble.” she teased softly, biting her lip. she wished she could say she had no idea why harlow made her so nervous, pretend like nothing had ever happened between them, but things were never that easy. “i uh...thanks. so, uh, tattoos. i found this one online that i liked but uh...can we make it look more like my sister?” it felt weird to hand over her phone with the image displayed brightly on the screen when she knew that somewhere on her phone, there were likely still photos from their fling.
ronnieroy
ronnie wasn’t one to get over emotional or highly sentimental. but she did believe in telling people how she felt in the moment and communicating her feelings honestly. and so she took tierney by the shoulders, giving them a light squeeze as she smiled warmly at her friend. “this is honestly the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for me,” she said before pulling tierney in for a hug. “i love you so much,” she added, giving her a gentle squeeze. ronnie pulled away then, admiring the space again. “fuck, i can’t wait to decorate it,” she mused.
she welcomed the hug warmly, unable to keep the beaming smile from her face. “i can’t wait to break in that kitchen.” she gushed, glancing over at the room in question. cooking had become and accidental hobby of tierney’s, one she had picked up from an old lover who had taught her everything they knew. she had carried it forward in her life, the one thing she could give up control with and it would almost always turn out delicious. baking was harder, it was all math and measurements and everything she didn’t have time for. “we should have a housewarming party when we get it all set up!”

“Anything for you, my queen.” With a warm smile across his lips, he turned around and carefully grabbed the plates. Jihan didn’t have a lot of them, as he never really had anyone else in his place, not a lot of invited guests, just him and the ghost of his regrets. The few that he had, though, he specifically got for Tierney, for whenever she felt like coming home. At the time, he thought it was just wishful thinking, a fantasy that would never come to pass. But here they were, finally having breakfast together at his place, Tierney was even making it.
Walking towards the table, he gently placed the plates, stealing glimpses of Tierney, as if she would vanish right then and there. “What’s the occasion?” Jihan teased, grinning from ear to ear. Part of him was afraid this was all a dream, that he would wake up a minute or two later, still alone in his bed, Tierney having left already like a thief in the night. He could never get mad about that, though. It was just her being her. He didn’t really know why she was like that but he didn’t need to know. He just trusted her, body and soul. If she ever betrayed him, he wouldn’t mind. Jihan was just happy they were doing all this.
“the occasion is that i was hungry.” she countered, a gleam of mischief in her eyes as she carried the last of the items to the table. the truth was, it had been a long time since she’d sat down and had breakfast with anyone, and she missed it. once upon a time, it had been her favourite meal of the day, when she and her family would all sit down and have a real breakfast before going off on their daily adventures. unfortunately, since she found herself a career where she made her own hours, breakfast was an almost non-existent memory. she was already on with her day when the sun came up or she had slept through it, on the rare occasions she was able to fall asleep at all. sharing this long-forgotten happiness with jihan just seemed right.
it was not lost on her the way his eyes would dart in her direction, as if she would vanish at any moment, and she didn’t blame him. she had no plan to disappear this time, though. for once. “besides, after last night, i wasn’t sure my poor legs could carry me all the way home.” she shot him a playful wink as she slid into one of the chairs. she waited until he had joined her before she poured her tea, the steam rising through the air and disappearing as it joined the world around them.

Location: the Daily Grind
Leigh picked up her coffee from the counter and was on her way to return to her table when she bumped into someone she thought looked familiar. “Sorry, I-” She started, cutting herself off to make sure she didn’t spill any of her americano. “Tierney.” She said, a smile tugging at her lips. She had met the woman when she went to Teagans show a few days ago. “Leigh.” She said, hoping the woman would remember. “Wow, I love your outfit.” She complimented the woman.
@tierneyhastings
it really was not uncommon to see tierney in the audience of one of her sister’s shows, the girls were practically inseparable. rarely, though, did tierney actually visit the club to watch the performance. as an artist, she could easily appreciate the incredible show her sister put on. as a sister, however, it wasn’t exactly her cup of tea. but she had already been at the club when the group organized themselves, and found herself soon being included. “leigh, hey. oh, thank you, darling.” she found herself smiling at the compliment, a warm, friendly grin. “how are you? did you enjoy the show?”

harlow had just gotten to work for the first time in months since she had been touring since before the new year and wasn’t half expecting the turnout of new clients that had walked through the door. “well, shit..” she says to herself before then wiggling her way to the front counter to try and organize everyone. “alright, whoever was first in line come on through please.” she replied before then gently grabbing the first person in line’s arms and taking them to the tattoo seat without even looking at them. “what can i get for you today?” she asked with a small smile, getting her ink ready.
the itch for new ink was constant, ever since she and teagan had lied about their ages to get matching tattoos when they were fourteen. she now had a collection of over 50 small tattoos, scattered across her body, and always wanted more. however, there were very few artists tierney trusted, and fewer still in new york. so when she heard harlow was back in town, she was quick to jump at the chance. no matter how awkwardly things had ended up between them. “hey. miss me?” she deadpanned before breaking out into a sheepish grin. “how’ve you been, harlow? you look good.”
alexeiis
@tierneyhastings
alexei has felt paranoid all day . maybe it’s because he’s been painstakingly sober since he woke up this morning ( minus weed , of course ) or maybe it’s because he’s going to meet up with his dealer any minute now , but he feels on edge . he walks to a more secluded area , this place luckily having outdoor heaters , which instantly warm him up . he grabs the joint he has hidden in his beanie , places it between his lips , and starts patting around his pockets for his lighter . his lighter …. fuck . now he remembers he left it in the pocket , of his other jeans . “ fuck . ” he lets out quietly , to himself . he looks all around , making sure there’s no one looking , and he thinks the coast is clear , so he places the tip of the joint right onto the burning dark orange part of the heater , mentally hoping for the best . a content smile tugs at the corner of his lips when it luckily works , bringing the joint to his lips and taking a long drag , exhaling smoke . right when he’s about to take another , he realizes he hadn’t even noticed the person standing a few feet away , on his opposite side . “ oh , hey …. ” he says awkwardly , hoping they’re not a damn snitch . “ crazy weather , right ? ”
tierney has done a lot of strange things in pursuit of the high only weed could offer, usually due to the fact that it’s illegal in france, but she had never done anything like this. she wasn’t judging him, no. she was amused. always one to know her surroundings, she had spotted him do the ever-familiar dance of checking his pockets and decided to approach, her own lighter in her hand to offer him assistance. he was creative, though, and opted to utilize his surroundings, no matter how dangerous. she was impressed it had even worked, she was skeptical for a moment. but the tip of the joint flashed red, catching fire just enough to light it. it was then that he noticed her. at this point she had stopped moving and was just watching fascinated by the scene in front of her, but when he spoke, she continued to close the distance between them. “yeah, my least favourite part about this city.” she hummed, pulling her coat even tighter around her to protect her from the chill. she wondered if he would acknowledge what he knew she had seen, but she wouldn’t mention it if he didn’t.
cilliankelly
cillian was feeling some kind of way. tee had told him that it would probably be best for him to see someone else considering that their relationship was… less than professional. but honeslty? it had taken cillian a lot to just get an appointment and show up the first time around. and though tee had provided him with other options, cillian didn’t know if he wanted to go through that again. so he was standing outside tee’s office, debating what to do next. he was seconds from bailing when he saw someone familiar exit the building. he nodded somewhat awkwardly, trying to shuffle out of the way.
@tierneyhastings
after her breakdown at the cabin with mickey, tierney had promised her sister that she would start seeing someone. and really, she needed to. she had known for awhile that she needed to see someone, even if for no other reason than her crippling commitment issues. and she was trying, she really was, but she hadn’t spent as long as she had being guarded to let it all down the first time the therapist asked. it had been another long hour of half-answered questions, just enough of her secrets to make everyone happy, but she couldn’t wait to be free. when her hour was up she bolted from the building like she’d never known fresh air, but the sharp cold of the new york winter stopped her in her tracks. she wasn’t alone out here, though, and she recognized the uncertainty in the familiar face. “you’d think with the amount we’re paying, it’d be a little more fun, wouldn’t you? maybe some confetti or snacks to stress-eat.” she teased quietly with a sympathetic smile.
bea-fraser
“Oui, you and everybody else.” Bea joked about people being in love with her. She laughed about it, but deep down she had been pretty lonely. Her last boyfriend was horrible. Manipulative and controlling were just a couple of words that could be used to describe him. He was one of the reasons she left France but she didn’t want to think about him anymore, she just wanted a new life. Preferably with people who she cared about and who cared about her in return. She dated a few people since she’s arrived to the city, but no one she could truly see herself getting into a real relationship with, she was just having fun with them right now.
Bea took a sip from her glass and walked around Tierney to the other side of the rack. “My favorite Klepto.” Bea laughed while shaking her head. She picked up a few swatches that she had prepared, holding them up to Tierney to decide which one would look better on a chic dress. “You always did have a great personal style, and that’s coming from someone who does this for a living.” Bea complimented. She was fully aware of her friends timeless habit of stealing her lovers clothes, hell, she had a few of her own pieces in her closet too. “That’s going to look great on you. You can try anything on - of course.” She said, waving at the jacket Tierney was looking at. She pulled the black leather skirt from the rack. “This would look amazing with that, ugh, I wish I had your legs”
“hey, is it such a crime to want to keep these memories forever? i only steal from the ones worth remembering.” she sighed airily, clutching the champagne flute to her chest dramatically. it was the truth, though. all of the clothes in her collection were from people she wanted to remember. “thank you, darling. i just pick things at random and hope it works.” never one to be shy, she hung up the jacket and began to strip. bea had seen all of her many times before anyway, and modesty had never been her forte. moments later, she was dressed again, now wearing the skirt she had taken from bea and a top from the rack that had caught her eye. “i really was blessed with great legs.” she hummed in appreciation as she moved towards the large mirror.
mirrors were not always tierney’s friend, some days she saw the scars more than anything. she saw the bags under her eyes and the way her hands shook even when she wasn’t paying attention. luckily, there had always been something about bea’s company that eased the part of her that looked for the flaws, and that meant that when she turned to admire how the new clothes looked on her small frame, she liked what she saw. the way they fit, the way they made her feel. the unconscious smile they brought to her lips as she smoothed the fabric. “you really are a genius, darling.”
