So Gideon has poor eyesight but what about his sence of smell? The tounge blip thing may just be something he trained himself to do or a stim or something since he has a snake motif going and could have done it to cope with the changes of his body but I'd like to believe that his smell got better when his sight got worse weather that be mutation or natrual adjustment. All this being said...

Victor Gideon and a scent kink?

He's able to tell so much more with his nose now than he could before, when food or samples had gone bad, when specific employees had been in a wing of the center, he could smell intoxication on someone's breath easier or days old smoke, the vents had started pissing him off with how they carried smells from across buildings leaving him to hunt endlessly to track the scent so he knew what was going on.

He's also able to tell more about the inerworkings of your body from his smell alone, your blood glucose telling him how long ago you may have last ate, your hormonal levels, he can tell when your sick from smell alone.

This being said one of the more interesting developments came when he caught the smell of your sweat from hallways away. Hes mapped out when you workout from your smell alone and didn't realise he had it memorised untill he caught himself more alert the same time of day days in a row and connected the dots.

He made a bit of a game out of it, seeing how far away he can be before he catches the scent of you and dedication to your task. He would get closer but with his heightened sence of smell in addition to how much its affecting him already he wouldn't trust himself to get closer.

Its a good thing he has a camera in the gym, getting to watch as your mucles flex and lax over and over while he rattles off the medical names for each in his head so he can at least get some of you the sick perv that he is.

Victor Gideon who's never been one for social interactions and so has very little experience comforting or calming down another person.

His only "experience" with this kind of thing involves using a trank on experiments that get too rowdy for their own good and could end up hurting themselves or staff unessasairly so to say he was out of his element with you was an understatement.

He's never gotten close enough with someone else to ever have needed to help calm them down or amend their sad state, he was always to busy with his work or hobbies and anytime he needed help he'd do it on his own often talking to his pet rat or snake (whichever pet he had at the time really) untill he felt better.

He couldn't just trank you, he wanted your trust, he NEEDED your trust. Trust wasnt built by taking away another's autonomy, if he showed you every time you freaked out that he was going to put you temporarily out of commission untill that fixed it the only trust you would have is trust that he would sedate you when things got hard.

He also didn't want to give the impression that he thought you incapable of handling yourself. You were the key to his masters work afterall of course you were strong and capable master wouldnt have built you any differently.

All this being said he only really knows what not to do, so when you end up huddled in the corrner of the room everytime he walks in, refusing to eat anything he gives you, and generaly looking at him with heavy distrust and hatred he falls back on the only thing he does know, the experiments and bedside manner.

He knocks before entering "your" space to let you know before he comes in. He stays in your view and sits with you in silence so you'd get use to his presence. He speaks softly and quietly like hes perfected after all these years to not scare others. He praises and compliments you every chance he gets mentioning how strong you are and how brave you are givin your situation. He eats with you even when he isn't hungry.

It disheartens him that he has to treat you like he would any other pacient at the care center he hates he has to draw on knowlage he has used for experiments no longer human. You deserve so much better than them because you are so much better than them.

He hopes soon youll be able to hold his hand when he talks softly to you and have you mindlessly run your fingers across his textured ones, hopes he will be able to lead you down hallways withought fear of you running off, hopes that you will truly be warmed up to him so you can grow closer.
