In the bg you can see 3 of the 4 challenges psyche has to go throught: Sorting the Grains, Gathering Golden Wool, Filling a Crystal Vessel with Styx Water.

The two women behind psyche are her sisters, their position represents how psyche's godly beauty overshadowed them both.

Cupid's colors are unnatural to show difference between humans and gods (since immortality scientifically speaking is unnatural).

And lastly i gave them roman attires because the story was actually written by a roman author :))
