Trigger warnings : possible child neglect(?) if thereās any i missed feel free to let me know
She was originally a normal human who, funny enough, was the daughter of Akagami no Shanks. Aside from her red eyes she looked nothing like her father. In her early years she was a carefree child who had a crew of uncles ready to protect her but once Uta came along- everything shifted. The uncles that used to take so much care of her were now caring for another little girl. She slowly became invisible to her own family over time.
Around age 13, she was caught stealing and Yassop had to help get her out of trouble. He brought her right to Shanks and informed him the she got caught. A heated argument broke out between Shanks and his daughter that resulted in him telling her that she all but ruined his 20ās because he had to worry about running a crew while having a child.
As soon as the statement had left his mouth, Shanks knew he fucked up. Telling a child, HIS own child, that she ruined his life wasnāt what he meant to say. Beckman had no choice but to step in then and diffuse the situation. He escorted the young girl back to her room and sat with her while she cried herself to sleep.
It was in that moment that fate sealed itself. Shanks had all but lost his only child to the wrong words spoken out of anger.

After that day, she became more isolated and increasingly angry. Around her 14th birthday, she made the choice to leave. Departing the Red force during the night watch shift change. With a bag full of clothes and a few hundred berry, she had all but disappeared.
It took about a week before anyone in the crew realized she was gone. Her isolated tendencies had become so normal that not seeing her for days was normal. But after day 5 of her not coming to Lucky Roux to get her meals after everyone had eaten, he knew something was amiss.
Taking his concerns straight to Beckman, he informed the sharpshooter that something wasnāt right. Roux knew that Beckman was the only crew member that you would actually talk to. So he all but hoped that his worries were smaller than they seemed.
Beckman had made the trek to your room as soon as Lucky left his small office. He hadnāt even knocked before his haki picked up that there was no one beyond the door. Benn was immediately alert because she never left her room. Not unless she knew her father wasnāt on board.
Benn made his way across the ship, slow and steady as not to drag to much attention to the fact that they were miles away from the last island and the girl his considered his own seemingly wasnāt on board. He checked every spot he knew you liked but turned up empty every time.
Thatās when he had not choice but to go directly to the captain.
Shanks was dumbfounded that you had somehow debarked and not a single person noticed. He was more mad at himself for not noticing considering your door was not but eight feet from his bedroom door. The searched the ship twice before the emperor made the choice to turn the ship around.
With the course set to return back to the island they left days ago, Shanks could all but hope you were still there.
