Hey guys, I finished remaking chapter 1 yesterday
Please don’t mind the weird white border, apparently I have to leave a lot of space for printing? I could’ve cropped it down but I’m sure it’ll be fine. It’s a bit of a short chapter anyway. 5/10 out of these posts, the first ones are here in order (Damian, Korei, Taika, Mako)
I got bored of doing them individually, I’ll just cram the rest of the rebels into this post. I’ll try to keep it short though.
Evelyn is a pirate captain who joined the Rebellion out of spite after a sea monster destroyed her boat and killed most of her crew members. The ones who didn’t get killed abandoned her, leaving her to seek revenge on her own. She is notably impatient, considering she barely even tries to interrogate the two monsters that find their base before demanding they were killed. Perhaps Lana will have some interest in her..?
Solanine is a weird, elusive little spider boy. One day, he started following Damian around, and thus became a member simply because they couldn’t get rid of him. He is childish and silly, but he can be useful to their cause. When he wants to be. When our hero Mugen and his friends are losing awfully against a gross monster, he shows up and saves them, then proceeds to say they have a ‘skill issue’ (paraphrased but genuine dialogue).
Tas, or sometimes spelled T.A.S, is a gambler. After a streak of loss after loss, he decided to stroll up to the God of Luck and strike up a deal - in exchange for endless luck, he would give away something very valuable of his. The god asked for his voice, and Tas saw nothing wrong with the deal and accepted. Although his newfound muteness was difficult, what wasn’t difficult was the money he kept winning… unfortunately the casino accused him of cheating and kicked him out, took his money, and he had nothing to do and nowhere to go but aid the rebellion. He’s kinda freeloading off Damian.
Beverly Bentley-Holdem, a serene beekeeper. Mostly considered the mediator of the Rebellion, they are the one in charge of rations and food, all that good stuff - because of their obsession with bees, that also means they often get honey. Yum yum. They come from a beautiful island in Redilliea named Faloren, a giant meadow. But when Xero decided to be a prick and ruin everything there, including a large hive of Beverly’s bees, they set out to join the rebellion and personally bring to him as much pain as possible. With bees. A decanter of infinite bees.
Being Damian’s child, Éinín (Eye-neen) has always been a member of the rebellion since she was a child. They hold an incredibly important role in the rebellion, being a sorcerer and the holder of the concealment/invisibility spell surrounding the base. Their magic isn’t perfect though, and constantly holding a spell causes her to be constantly tired and irate. Despite being parent and child, her relationship with Damian is fairly strained.
Last but not least, Yue Anying. She’s a talented figure skater with ice powers, able to make the very ground in front of her turn to ice so she can skate across. As a result, she’s pretty much always gliding around. As for her fighting style, she uses her ice skates as weapons and kicks her enemies in the face. She has no personal ties to Xero nor was she or any distant ancestor affected by him bar from simply being a civillian of Redilliea, but she believes she would be an ally to his evil if she didn’t join a rebellion and fight for his downfall. Alas, she is pure sunshine and joy.
I may be the first writer trying to pitch their book and then proceed to forget to explain what the damn thing’s about. But it’s fine I guess because I’ll do that now.
This is going to be a comic book, by the way, just to reiterate. Named “At God’s Mercy”.
Redillea. The “Land of the Gods.”
Once upon a time, the land was ruled in peace and prosperity by two gods - Apeirceth, the God of Infinity, and Xero, the God of Transience. Until a century ago, inexplicably, Xero killed Apeirceth in cold blood. It could hardly be considered a battle. It was an ambush. A slaughter. He created a curse in order to ensure the people of Redillea wouldn’t riot against him, and it wasn’t long before the entire nation was entirely wrapped around his finger.
However, the balance of the world depended upon both gods being alive. Slowly but surely, the world nears its end.
The only one who had the power to stop Xero was Apeirceth - but she is long dead, and now the only thing standing against him is a rebellion who are less than ants to him.
4/10 of the rebels, Damian (1), Korei (2) and Taika (3) are here.
Next on the chopping block is Mako Shark, the Rebellion’s blacksmith. She is a (scarily metalwork-savvy) nine year old who desperately wants to be an evil mastermind, but she’s just a bit too sweet for that even though she’s a complete gremlin so she ends up doing good instead. As you can probably tell from the name, she’s very bitey. She’s also Korei’s assistant, and treats her like she’s some kind of mob boss.
Yeah, she’s eating metal.
Hello lovelies, I’m back to introducing my characters. You can find the first two here (please read them so all of this makes a slither of sense) - Damian (1) and Korei (2)
Taika Lionhearte - a bard with a ‘drama queen’ personality, yet a heart of gold deep down. The ‘life of the party’ in the Rebellion, I’d say - though it seems he happens to be the bane of one member’s existence (hem hem, Amane).
Rather than using any proper weapon, Taika has mastered pretty much all instruments as a result of his powers, and uses them to cast spells using music. Rather than being a single note or chord or similar, he has to play a full solo on whatever instrument he is using in the middle of the battlefield to cast a spell. Though sometimes the instrument itself ends up being the weapon. Only in dire situations, though.
If you’re wondering why he’s yelling in one of the pictures and looks super down in two of them, well, he’s extremely disappointed in the fact that their teeny tiny rebellion has gained five new members and not, in fact, a dog. Maybe one day, huh?
I just remembered I kinda. Forgot to post what the hell my story is actually really about. Oopsies. I'll do that later. My six followers please remind me 🙏

Anyhow, it's time for me to continue introducing you to the rebels. You can find the link to the first post here (just so you know what this is about, hehe)
It's essentially mandatory for me to create a doctor, so allow me to introduce you to Korei!
I have drawn her much more than I have drawn the other rebels!
Korei is the Rebellion's doctor... and engineer, and general scientist, and chemist, and psychiatrist (of course they need one), etc etc, think of a doctor title and she probably has it. She joined the Rebellion after twelve years out of a life sentence in prison, not out of a desire to help their cause, but simply because she needed funds and a shelter for her experiments. As you will find with many of my characters, she is incredibly eccentric and I daresay weird. However, this strangeness (that is mostly as a result of inhaling a little too many chemicals) does not mean she isn't incredibly intelligent.
Currently, she has her focus on one thing; creating a medicine to turn monsters back into humans.
