The Cloud Bank, 2061. The future of Singapore’s national security relies on the creation of a sustainable water-independent state before the water supply agreement with Malaysia expires in 2061. Inspired by the natural cloud system, the water management strategy has specific emphasis on water production, collection, transportation, storage and recycling by taking advantage of the abundant local resources. The cloud system reduces the Urban Heat Island effect as well as providing educational, recreation and food preservation. The strategy aims to transform the urban strategy and redefines the city’s priorities.
