Logan's colours and what they represent:

Time for another sanders sides colour breakdown !! In this one, we'll be discussing Logan's colours (specifically, black and dark blue) and why those colours have been chosen to represent Logan and his overall character.

Dark blue - This colour is a vibrant but very somber colour. It invokes feelings of professionalism, intelligence, and elegance. It can also represent authority and maturity as it is heavily linked with job spaces and professional environments. It is a colour that reminds you to stay on task without being too plain, but it has a sense of creativity and wonder behind it. Overall, it remains a steady, calm colour. This is Logan's main colour and it is a perfect fit for him. He is someone who prioritizes practicality and efficiency over anything else. If there is something distancing Thomas from work, it's considered a distraction, but he isn't stoic all of the time. He has his interests and that's when we see a new kind of person (interests include crofters, chemistry, puzzles, etc) and it portrays how Logan remains professional but still has his own personal quirks.

Black - I would say that this colour is linked with Logan more than he likes to admit. Black can represent being emotionally unavailable or closed and can even represent anguish and negativity, but for Logan, it seems to have a more mysterious, mature approach. Black is also a very professional and stoic colour that demands seriousness and intellect. Black can also be a protective colour that invokes feelings of comfort and safety. Logan is a very mature side that doesn't tolerate silliness but is also caring of Thomas and looks out for him in a more factual and straightforward manner. He is the source of reality but also safety as he's there to reassure him that his fears and worries are far beyond his reach and are happening elsewhere. He can bring him back down to earth where everything is familiar and safe (ironic because Logan canonically loves space lol) but also on a personal level, he's terrified of being perceived as vulnerable and so he acts emotionally closed off to avoid being taken as anything but a serious teacher, and I think that this colour does an overall good job of portraying that comforting but protective and mysterious sanders side of him.

In conclusion, these two colours though are a very simple colour pallete for Logan, are perfect for him because they sum him up the way he should be, it's simple and to the point but there are some underlying factors there that explain more about him and his character beyond what meets the surface.

Details:

- There is a splash of white in his tie that I didn't include because I thought it wasn't prominent enough for me to bring up, but this could mean two things, his role as a "light side" as all of the light sides where white somewhere in their outfits, or it's the opposite of what black means for Logan (black absorbs light, white reflects light and that light could be Logan's want for a sense of belonging in the group and how he isn't as emotionless as he claims to be)

- Dark blue, as written in the article above, also carries a sense of peace and tranquility, as well as loyalty and trust. Thomas holds Logan to a high degree as he seems to have everything sorted out (which isn't entirely true but anyway) and that could be represented with the blue as Logan is there to remind Thomas that his fears are irrational and it's okay, thus Thomas having a sense of trust in Logan that feels different from the trust he has with the other factors of his personality.

- I find it really funny how, in Growing Up, Logan tells Thomas not to wear black as he is an adult and should dress like one. Yes, it's a dig on anxiety, but.. literally any supposed mature adult you see outside would most likely be wearing some form of black on their clothing, even Logan wears a full black shirt in that same episode 😭

- I feel like a lot of the descriptions mentioned of black can fit Virgil (or, more specifically, anxiety) much more as he has always been quite mysterious but has always prioritized protection.. that will have to be for a different post, though.

Roman's colours and what they represent:

In this breakdown, we'll be seeing Roman's main colours and how they are tied to his character, the significance of each of these colours that he's associated with, and how they represent his role in C!Thomas' head as a side. Those colours being red, gold and white (no not like the dress lol).

Red - Red is Roman's main colour and it's a fitting one for him overall. Red is a very bold, dramatic and attention-grabbing colour. It also represents things like passion, romance and confidence. Additionally, red has been worn in different cultures like India and China during celebrations and weddings as a colour worn to symbolize joy, prosperity and happiness. All of these can make sense for Roman as not only does he love attention, he prioritizes Thomas' happiness and wants him to pursue things that will make him happy in the long run while being unapologetic the whole time, even if it's hard sometimes.

Gold - This colour can be seen on Roman's prince outfit as accents. Roman's character is clearly medieval inspired, so gold is very significant to what Roman represents or sees himself as. Gold represents luxury, power, prestige and high status. Historically, those who were highest on the hierarchy such as kings and nobles had an abundance of these to signify their power and wealth. Psychologically, gold can represent success and influence. This ties into Roman's character perfectly as he not only advocates Thomas to pursue happiness, he also wants him to achieve goals like fame and success to make his mark and have his name known. As gold is known for its symbolism for luxury and power, he wants Thomas to seize opportunities to achieve these things for himself and his future.

White - This is where things get interesting in my opinion, so far we've discussed how each of these colours are tied to Roman and what he wants out of C!Thomas but white represents something entirely different but still matches Roman's character perfectly. White symbolizes innocence, purity and wholesomeness. It's used in many religious contexts as to represent pure, good intentions and lack of sin, such as dishonesty and crime. Roman is a high achiever and pushes Thomas to pursue his dreams, but he's also devoted to ensuring that he does so in an honest and pure way, without any bad intentions to do so. We've all seen his anger bubbling towards the end of svs redux when Janus seemed like he was getting a seat at the table, as well as him constantly pushing Thomas away from his dreams if it means doing so in a "deceitful" way, so this white being the most prominent colour on his outfit shows his devotion towards goodness, but can also lead to black and white thinking which leads to his detriment at times.

In conclusion, each of these three colours explain Roman's role as a side in sasi as well as his motives and what he pushes C!Thomas to achieve during his time on this world. Roman is a dreamer so his outfit colours will reflect how big he dreams, as well as wanting Thomas to do so without seemingly evil intentions.

- Red is a colour that is often used to symbolize urgency and danger (stop signs, firetrucks, emergency signs, etc) as well as purple being a colour used to represent royalty and status given it's rarity in history.. who is purple associated with in sasi? Exactly! Two meanings for their colour schemes that can be tied to both Virgil and Roman.. little prinxiety mention lol

- Red is also a colour that symbolizes courage and energy. This can connect with Roman's overall prince-like behaviour and how he is willing to physically fight any dangerous creatures like the dragon witch to protect those he cares about. Red is just overall Roman's colour

Patton's colours and what they represent

In sanders sides, Patton's character consists of these colours: light blue, light pink, beige and grey and i'm going to explain how they correlate to his character and why each colour represents Patton and his arc so far perfectly

Light blue - light blue is seen as a very calming and tranquil colour, it can also represent innocence, purity and childhood, as well as it being a more playful colour (same with light pink). These are all the baseline representations of this colour and are all perfect descriptions for patton and his role. Patton is a very kind, approachable character and he as well promotes gentleness and acceptance. Light blue can also often represent sadness, which is an emotion that Patton has had a hard time coming to terms with throughout the show.

Light pink - Now this colour isn't really shown to be associated with Patton as much, but it's still very much there (the incorrect quotes thumbnail, his christmas sweater, etc) and light pink often embodies purity and innocence as well as love, femininity and hope. It is also a very welcoming and nurturing colour as well. This also makes a lot of sense for Pat as he is thomas' heart and although he isn't as romantic as Roman for example, he still shows affection and love towards the other sides and Thomas (in a nurturing way) and each relationship Thomas has been in, Patton gets emotionally impacted by it, making him be a loving side but in a pure, innocent way

Grey - This is where we get into the other aspects of Patton. Grey often symbolizes balance, authority and indecisiveness. It is a very non emotional and stoic colour compared to the previous colours mentioned. It is the bridge between black and white and can represent a different, more broad worldview. Patton can be seen wearing grey throughout the series (the grey cardigan, the grey cat hoodie, even the grey pants in the Into The Unknown cover with Janus) and this can represent his authoritive side being the dad but also being morality and achieving a morally grey view of the world.

Beige - Beige is a colour that represents simplicity, calmness and professionalism. It provides a calm, safe feeling while still being sophisticated and timeless. It's a colour that demands attention, but not too much. Think of it as a more stoic version of light pink and light blue. Patton can be seen wearing beige, whether it being on his waistcoat in svs, or his beige khakis but either way being present on him nearly at all times. Patton is a very playful and colorful character but not all of the time. Very recently he's become more mature and cautious, especially with his new friendship with Janus. It can represent Patton being a peace-maker in the group and his desire to ensure that everyone is happy, despite it not working after svs but a side of him that still takes Thomas' issues very seriously.

All in all, every colour associated with Patton has been used very smartly and each one describes every part of him and his character, which is a detail I appreciate (as well as the rest of the sides but that will be for another post)

More details:

- light blue and light pink are often used as gender-reveal colours, which ties in perfectly with Patton being a father of the group

- in svs, his lawyer outfit had a grey coat and a beige waistcoat with the blue being hidden, because in that episode his morals were being tested and he had to take the trials very seriously, hence there being less playful and fun colours on him

- Alongside each of these colours, Patton always has a splash of white in there (his white lawyer tie, his paw prints on his hoodie, etc) and white is a colour representing purity and wholesomeness, which reps Patton's desire for Thomas to remain pure, or his own purity as a character as he refrains from inappropriate behaviors himself.

On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home, killing 25 members—his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews—entire branches of our family in seconds.

We were displaced twice. Everything was gone—home, safety, routine, rest.

A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebration—not even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.

Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.

Today, Israel’s government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forces—not Israel—but with no clear path to peace or normalcy.

The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.

Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.

We Don’t Know What Comes Next There’s no clear path forward—only uncertainty for our daughter’s life and our ability to survive another day.
