People in this fandom see everything as like a single dimension and it happens time and time again. There’s this issue with being able to allow two things to exist.
Like you can have muscles and it literally changes nothing about your personality. Besides that, the buff byers thing is so dumb like why do you care? If he’s buff he’s buff like it ain’t serious at all, it’s totally normal and deny what we’re seeing onscreen is weird. Noah is buff so, so is Will, it’s fine.

No matter how people enjoy this fandom or how they engage with it, it’s not going to change the show or the characters and it’s not going to hurt you. Sometimes I see someone talking about how they view the characters in a way I don’t agree with and I have the urge to ‘well actually’ then realize who the fuck do I think I am? No one cares about what I have to say when they’re trying to have fun just like I don’t care about what they have to say when I’m trying to have fun. Spend time talking about what you love instead of dragging what you don’t.
The reason I like movies, TV shows, music, art, etc. is because it’s created by humans…telling us stories about humans…that we can relate to and connect with.

When you look at anything, no matter how good it may be, created by an AI (art specifically) there’s a fullness within it because there’s not even a spec of emotion behind it.
The best AI art feels like an empty void because there’s nothing behind it but generated words. There’s soulless eyes and meaningless crap in the picture. It’s not art anymore, art is created by humans to reflect the human experience and relate to other people through beauty. Anything AI generated feels like a void.
Back to AI. What they’re saying is that, AI’s will take from books and other pieces of writing that are in the ‘public domain’ it’s basically going to steal stories from people. That’s literally it.
Let’s talk about Ao3, wattpad, literally any site like that. While there’s fanfiction, there’s also MILLIONS of original stories on there that people share. And guess what? Ao3 and all those sights are in the public domain.
It’s literally just taking things from humans instead of having humans write the goddamn stories in the first fucking place. RIDICULOUS CRAP.

Awhile back I made a joke post just talking about how if I wrote a popular show, everytime a new season came out, I’d ‘tease’ the most bizarre things and give hints to the new season that are bonkers and not true to freak people out. And I’m like that’s a joke because there’s no way people would believe me after the first time it happened….
Then I’ve watched what happened with that Cherry person for the like, 5th time, and how people are still falling for it and I realize it actually wouldn’t be insane to think people would believe me everytime I did it lmaooo
Like I just will never fully get it. AI IS a great editing tool, yeah it still makes mistakes and it doesn’t know how to improve writing because it lacks any human emotion so it can’t really tell stories, but it can fix your punctuation and spelling and add more advanced word choices. But the point is, that executives aren’t understanding, is that a writers job is to be a storyteller, there’s so much more to it than just words being put together. There’s millions of pieces that go into writing a compelling story that an AI can’t grasp because it’s still just a computer. It can answer questions but it can’t hold true opinions or feelings.
In the end they’re just going to have to do more work to get a good story out. It’s a great tool, it can’t exist on its own though without a lot of human input.
Like you can’t tell it to just write something, you have to give it a shit ton of examples of what the writing style looks like, what the themes are, who the characters are, and still it sucks because an AI can only take that stuff at face value.
For example: talking about byler or ST, if you have that story to an AI it would not understand the underlying implications or the things not said aloud. It can only take information it’s being directly told. It can’t lie, it can’t feel, it can’t create in the way people seem to think it can.
It’s so frustrating to see watchers being like ‘lol go ahead let AI do it’ because they sound so dumb. Do you not want quality TV or something? Because we’re not going to get it with AI, it’ll be crap that we still have to pay for. Besides the whole point about the arts and entertainment is PEOPLE, we’re watching the creatives minds of humans that can relate to us and make characters and worlds that make us feel. Creativity is what makes humans special and alive.
We’re going to keep giving these dumbass power hungry executives money while any semblance of creativity and art is stripped away
