Neal was still adjusting to being alive. Of course, he was thrilled to be reunited with his son, but the events he had witnessed in Storybrooke left him concerned. Shortly after his return, he had seen the darkness overtake the town, and he had witnessed Emma sacrifice herself to it, becoming the new Dark One and vanishing shortly thereafter.
There were no words to describe how he felt. Neal had watched his father be corrupted by darkness, and now another person he loved was going to have that burden. He was determined to save her.
Heâd been prepared to reveal himself but before he could tell anyone he was alive, he found himself in the Enchanted Forest. He assumed this was also his sonâs doing, though he still didnât quite understand how heâd done it. Henry didnât have magic.
Looking around, Neal realized he was in the forest, but there wasnât anything significant to tell him exactly what part of the forest he was in. He didnât know where to even begin looking for Emma, so instead, he started searching for anyone he knew. If he was here, it was reasonable to assume everyone else was too.
He glanced down only to find that his attire had changed. No longer was he in the normal clothes he had returned in. No, he was dressed in the same outfit heâd worn the last time heâd been sent to the Enchanted Forest, cape and all. He let out a sigh as he started walking, hoping for any familiar face.
Being back in the forest had cause a stir among all the Storybrooke residents, most of them feared the change of scenery because being back in the forest, they would be at the mercy of The Dark One again but Tink liked the change, if only for the fact that being in the forest meant that she had her wings back.
The fairies had split up believing that it would be easier to find Emma quicker but Tinkerbell had her doubts, not that she let anyone know that; they all still believed they could get the Charmings' daughter back unharmed but darkness changed people.
Tink was travelling through the forest when something or rather someone stopped her dead in her tracks; a man dressed in rich looking attire was walking towards her and the sight of him made the fairy's heart stop. Surely, this was a ghost it absolutely had to be because she had attended this man's funeral and many a night sat by his grave to keep him company.
She took her human form and appeared in front of him, choking back tear. "Bae, is it really you?"
