TIPSY TUESDAY - NATIONAL TEQUILA DAY RECAPPED
Sunday was “National Tequila Day”. I did not know Sunday was “National Tequila Day”. When I found out I made sure everyone I encountered knew it was “National Tequila Day”.
Its not unusual that when a server gets to me I’m generally not ready to order and I panic order a drink. I mean there isn’t anything wrong with whatever I panic order. Its usually goes: ummmm champagne? ummm vodka red bull? ummmmm corona light? (EXCEPTION: celebratory shots).
Sunday I was feelin’ myself so I panic ordered Tequila, Soda, Splash of Lemonade. WAIT! No! Server, come back! Tequila Sunrise, pinky up. The nice thing about being 28 years old is that after 7 years of legal drinking and 3 years of not, I figured out if I start with one liquor it would be in my best interest to stick to it.
SUNDAY WAS TEQUILA DAY. I might as well have had a mini sombrero on my head (something you can order on amazon 4real) and a stick on mustache. At bar 2 after ordering celebratory tequila shots because the rain had died down (any reason to celebrate) Instagram kindly alerted us to the national holiday. Thanks boo! Rocco’s Tacos was naturally the next and final stop. Ooooooh! pitchers of margs?!?! DUH!! After letting everyone within more than an ear shot away from us know it was National Tequila Day we ended up acquiring 2 more pictures of margs gifted to our table and I was home in bed by 7pm. Although it was fun, I’m currently celebrating a week of rehydration.
