Started writing the actual dissertation FINALLY and of course I started last minute! To tell you the truth, I was so afraid getting about to do it, always thinking that maybe I'm writing misinformation. I'm going to share one chapter with my professor tomorrow, I'm nervous my writing is that of a child, trying to play-pretend an adult! This year I'm also dreading the Christmas holidays, cause I have to be writing constantly to make the deadline. Even though I'm scared, I know somehow I will make it in the end, but until then I'll keep my anxious lifestyle-thank you very much!

I love autumn! 🍁

I'm getting interested in bioinformatics these days, but I'm not sure if i want to pursue it academically by master's degree or with a seminar. I started learning R coding this week by myself and it's going great, though it's too soon to determine if I enjoy it or not.

If anyone in bioinformatics stumbles on this post, comment what you like in your career and if you recommend it for someone interested in research!

🌻 29.06.2024 // I'm enjoying my slow life and trying to get new routines : journaling, doing sport, taking care of myself, cooking and drinking a lot more water 🪻💧

In the meantime I study 2 to 3 hours a day to stay consistent and to keep/reinforce my knowledge. It involves reviewing lectures I got 2 or 3 years ago (since I need to know them for the competitive exam I want to do) and trying to understand/remember everything 🩷

Studying for finals while doing my internship feels WILD!

Currently working in the cytology lab, but I like to also stop by the pathology lab. It's the summer so I'll probably have to cover later in the day some techs in blood donation department and from tomorrow on, very early in the morning before going to any lab, I'm gonna start practicing phlebotomy! Another lab tech was also kind enough to show me how to take pap smears🎀.

I hate that I have to commute to the hospital in such hot weather, but at the end on the day I feel thankful for the people I meet here★

Finally presented my final uni assignment about molecular pathology in breast cancer 🥹. I managed to surpass a lot of fears today, but I love the subject so even though I was nervous I looked a bit forward to presenting... The thing is, the project I chose to work on was also my professor's expertise, so it was expected he would ask me MANY questions. Istg for each slide he had to add a comment or a question, but somehow I managed to stay confident in myself, partly because I knew he was doing this on purpose. Luckily I had some friends in the audience that stood up for me 😂.
