i like the fact that i live in a world where people of any sex/gender can say ‘suck my dick’ and no one questions it
why did you put sex/gender. it means the same exact thing.
ding-dong you are wrong
Micky’s head wasn’t on walking as he made his way back from work, which had technically gotten him lost.
He wouldn’t admit he was lost, but it certainly happened. Which was how Micky somehow ended up lost, in London, at nine PM, on a Friday night.
There were others who, although technically much more familiar with the area, couldn’t navigate too well themselves. In fact, one was quite near him, though he wouldn’t have noticed it until it made itself known to him.
“What is this place?”
The voice was soft and without inflection, the figure to whom it belonged dressed in light yellow, its hair nearly the same color as its plain clothing and its skin a light caramel. It certainly hadn’t been visible a moment ago, but now it stood next to him, closer than seemed strictly necessary even in the bustle.
Micky turned around, interest piqued. "Oh. Hey. You just popped outta nowhere. Hi there. Uh. This is London. Unless ywant the area. In which case I ain't the best person ta ask, sorry man." He grinned at the being who had not previously been there, unphased.
Micky's head wasn't on walking as he made his way back from work, which had technically gotten him lost.
He wouldn't admit he was lost, but it certainly happened. Which was how Micky somehow ended up lost, in London, at nine PM, on a Friday night.
Cheerily free on his day off from both school and work, Micky was whistling. He walked with a lilt to his steps unique to extraordinarily confident and pleased young adult males. He stopped and blinked when he saw a flier for a fleamarket and immediately turned to explore.
“You guys can be friends with angels? You’re allowed an’ stuff?”
“Haha, no. It was all very hush-hush and under the table.” Crawly waved his hands to convey how hush-hush it had been. “But since I’m not actually in active service right now, it’s fine, I guess.”
"Oh. That's sweet then! Haha." Mickey shrugged, looking around. "I wish I had more friends, honest."
“How does anyone survive without computer skills in this day an’ age?” Micky asked, musing half to himself and half to Crawly. “Who’s the Owl anyway? Is he cool ‘sides the computer thing?”
“He has an old electric typewriter thing, for his taxes, I think.” Crawly grinned. “Owl’s kind of my best angel buddy from way back. Biblical times. And he’s a nice guy. Brews a mean earl grey.”
"You guys can be friends with angels? You're allowed an' stuff?"
Micky winced at the crack. “Don’t that hurt? An’ that sounds pretty cool actually. I’d like t’ meet another one, y’know?”
“Nah, it’s ok.” Crawly rotated his head again, more freely this time. “Just a bit stiff there. Haven’t gotten many neck- or headrubs lately.” he informed Micky cheerfully. “We can hop over to visit later, if you like. He’s got a bookstore. Completely computer illiterate, too.” Crawly, at least, knew how to USE one.
"How does anyone survive without computer skills in this day an' age?" Micky asked, musing half to himself and half to Crawly. "Who's the Owl anyway? Is he cool 'sides the computer thing?"
Micky chuckled. “LED doesn’t exactly tan. You guy come in all shapes and sizes and species an’ types then, huh? Demons, I mean. Are angels that way too? I haven’t ever met an angel.”
“Yeah, I guess so.” Crawly conceded. He rolled his neck until it cracked audibly, thinking. “Could introduce you to the Owl. He’s pretty ok, for an angel. Won’t rat you out either.” He smirked a little at his own pun.
Micky winced at the crack. "Don't that hurt? An' that sounds pretty cool actually. I'd like t' meet another one, y'know?"
Micky laughed a bit, yawning in the sun as they walked. “I like the sun when I don’t have work to be doin’, y’know? Screens are harder to read in the sun, so I usually get mosta my light from the glow of a computer screen. You know… you sound kinda cold blooded. Are you like some sorta cold blooded demon or somethin’? Is that possible?”
“I’m a snake. So yeah, I like warm things and sunshine. Usually nap right through winter.” Crawly told him. He eyed Micky sideways. “You are a little pale. Have not gotten much sun lately, have you?”
Micky chuckled. "LED doesn't exactly tan. You guy come in all shapes and sizes and species an' types then, huh? Demons, I mean. Are angels that way too? I haven't ever met an angel."

I altered my theme to a simple one. I have my eyes on a different one, but that one has some features I don’t wanna have and I dunno how to get rid of’em :(
Oi. What're the features ywant gone? An' whats the code?
Micky grinned as he did the same with his own, mostly just to fit in with what Crawly was doing. “I’m an indoor man. Give me a bank of humming computers and warm batteries for heat and I’ll be the happiest guy in the world.”
“Running computers are nice to nap on.” Being technologically undereducated, there was not much more Crawly could say to that. “I’m tolerably fond of the outdoors when it’s warm and sunny, though. Nothing better than a sun bath on a roof.”
Micky laughed a bit, yawning in the sun as they walked. "I like the sun when I don't have work to be doin', y'know? Screens are harder to read in the sun, so I usually get mosta my light from the glow of a computer screen. You know... you sound kinda cold blooded. Are you like some sorta cold blooded demon or somethin'? Is that possible?"
Why is the term “friend zone” so popular when the term “unrequited love” already exists and is more accurate? I suspect it’s because it shifts the locus of responsibility. “Unrequited love” focuses on the person who has the crush. The feelings being discussed are the crushing person’s, thus the responsibility in on them to get over their crush and move on. “Friend zone”, on the other hand, focuses on the crush object’s choices. The phrase erases the agency of the crushing person. All blame for their pain is put on the crush object. “Unrequited love” is something that can happen to both sexes, but “friend zone” is a sexist concept that implies that women are solely responsible for men’s happiness, and not men themselves.

im fine with gay people unless they make out in front of me. im fine with straight people unless they make out in front of me. stop making out in front of me it makes me feel self conscious.
Micky sat down across from him, nodding. “Yeah, mate. I getcha. I’m glad it’s spring. It’ll get warmer soon an’ we won’t have to deal with the snow or freezy rain anymore.”
“I’m really not fond of freezing rain. It’s like my nemesis.” Crawly quickly leafed though the menu. “I’m bad with cold in general. How about you?”
Micky grinned as he did the same with his own, mostly just to fit in with what Crawly was doing. "I'm an indoor man. Give me a bank of humming computers and warm batteries for heat and I'll be the happiest guy in the world."
