"Spirit In The Sky" Last night @rubiera.photography & I went out on the country roads in Boulder County to do some shooting. I thought of an idea to do a lens cap with my @rokinon lens, so I painted M with the @lightpaintingbrushes black fiber, capped the lens, then switched the aperture for the night sky. - 2 minute, 1 second exposure beginning at f/22 for the lightpainting then opening up to f/4 to expose the sky. A fun, super late night collab with @graveyardworker I had just gotten to Morocco & had not slept for 2 days, though not feeling tired. I had a very deep conversation with a dear friend recently where we discussed such things, & I want to drive the point home. Don't let the future dictate your present. It is important to have long-term plans, yes, but each day shouldn't be a wait until those plans manifest. Today is the only day we are ever guaranteed, & therefore is the most important day we have. I have been reading Carlos Castenada & I felt inspired by one of the quotes from his mentor, Don Juan, to do a lightpainting based on his quote, using a very special candle given to my friend that serves as a reminder each day is a gift. "The Ghost Of Foothills Parkway" Legend has it, that before dawn on cloudy nights there is a ghost that can be seen over Foothills Parkway. Making lightpainting magic with @lucidflowvideo! For this shot @rubiera.photography & I used the @virtual.ink software created by @ericparephoto to create this image in real-time. The shot consisted of plexiglass blades made by Margarita using the @liteblades KYO system, a @buyfiberflies fiber-optic whip, & a bit of frontlighting to illuminate Margarita.
