Isolation Journal Entry: A Ravaged Ruler | Narration
When markers were my primary weapon of choice.
Markers remain a staple in much of the work that I do, but they’re far from the primary source of rendering that they once were for me. I think describing them more as guides for the direction a piece will take is more apt for the current purpose they serve.

“My subjects are gone and the land remains, yet I rule nothing.”
I had most of these drawings tucked away in armoire in my living room; most of these are probably drawings only me and my mom have seen. It’s nice to reminisce on the work that cultivated where I am now, though. I get so caught up in what’s next that what’s now and what’s past are indistinguishable sometimes, so looking at these old, little drawings was at least a good reminder as to what came before when drawing was just drawing.
Short process of the sketching of my new piece. A lot of sketching and color planning to be done moving forward.
A shortened process video for Head in the Clouds.
Placed Upon | An old piece from 2022. I’m thinking about doing a written piece for it soon.
Behind the Troll Stuck in the Tree
Still can’t believe I left this piece unfinished for 5+ years!

Even with art being my career, it’s still also my hobby. I tend to not film the process of these sketches because they’re typically done in down time when I’m relaxing on the couch or in bed.
Short process video of The Little Tiger sleeve concept
I have a short story written and a continuation planned, so expect this sleeve concept to become a new piece of art + a few more in the series.
The Walking Man Requiem • I’ve been missing working with graphite and charcoal lately, but I’ve got the next piece I’ll be working on with these mediums planned.
A few short clips from the second entry in my new sketchbook.
Corruption of the World, 2023 • I feel like I had something figured out with this drawing and am only now realizing it.
Steadily finding ways to ensure my art practice and tattoo practice are one and the same - one inspiring the other.
