Remember the gold paint I bought from PMQ in Hong Kong, I decided to use it on my second look jacket, so that it can be show on the photoshoot as well.
However… I had made a mistake before that, the fabric should be painted before it sew finish as a jacket, and now I am challenging to paint it right on the actual jacket.
Champagne mix Gold. / Gold paint
I tried the painting on a piece of fabric in different way, one is using pure gold or champagne color, another one is mixing champagne and gold together. By the effect of the sample, I chose to use champagne as the base and gold as the second layer.

This is my first time try painting on a garment, luckily, the jacket can be painted with no accident happen, for what is going on next, I will doing more research and development for the paint.
Look 2- Actual Remember the gold paint I bought from PMQ in Hong Kong, I decided to use it on my second look jacket, so that it can be show on the photoshoot as well.
Comes to the actual garment look 1!
Look 1 – Jacket- Toile
As you can see from the toile of look one jacket, the idea was using knit for sleeve and woven fabric as bodice, but in case of this is a over size jackets, knit fabric will bringing the sleeve looking saggy.
After I had a consultation with my lecturers, I decided to change the fabric into the off white woven fabric with texture for bodice and sleeve, the collar, pocket, cuff and belt loops is gold fabric. In order to create the oversize jacket into a slicker looking. The sleeve need to be fold into three pleats in order to sew with the cuff instead of rib knit.

For the bottom I design a wrap skirt with two panels of chiffon at the size to match with the pocket, I had a problem with the finishing of the silk chiffon pieces. The pattern piece is a shape of a quarter circle, I followed the grain line to cut the fabric and therefore there is the seam line on bias, it is difficult to handle for finishing. Unfortunately I couldn’t found any place in Guangzhou can do baby lock for chiffon while I went back in term break. So I tried few different ways to finish by myself: baby lock, roll hem and home machine roll hem. I chose home machine roll hem because this is the easier way to handle and lesser stretch the fabric.

The second look a a short oversize jacket with detail forcing on the back and a overlong waist belt hanging in front, There is a sleeveless knitted high neck top with fabric manipulation and a slick pants to match with the jacket.
