Help Janine Recover from Brain Surgery!

We are in crisis mode, everyone.

The apartment complex has begun the eviction process on my mother, and her only solution is for me and my sister to move in with her.

It’s not feasible for us to move, between plane tickets, trying to sell all our stuff, and having to break our lease. If there’s no other option we will but PLEASE donate and/or reblog this post!!!

I don’t want my mother to become homeless and I don’t want her sitting at home crying her eyes out over stress.

Update 7/7/16: Mom’s gotten the official court papers, and the eviction is scheduled for July 26th. If you can, PLEASE donate. If you can’t, PLEASE reblog. I don’t know what else to do at this point. Neither my sister or myself can help anymore financially due to a life event that just occurred, so this is the only way we can help our mom now. PLEASE HELP.

Update 7/8/16 (from my mom): I want to thank each and every person who has stepped forward and contributed to helping me out financially as I walk through the “valley”. I appreciate each and every contribution, the large and the modest. I know that each of you are compassionate and empathetic people to contribute your money, your livelihood, to a complete stranger! I am a very spiritual person and with EACH contribution I send up prayers for you and those you love. For a financial update, my situation has gotten very DIRE, I have just received a Court Summons , for an Eviction Hearing , concerning my apartment, for July 26, 2016. I have absolutely NO MONEY coming in. NONE. ZERO. I am in the beginning process of filing an Appeal for the insurance carrier who handles my Long Term disability claim and am also in the beginning process of filing for Social Security Benefits. The Insurer for LTD has denied the claim even though I have had multiple brain surgeries since November 2015 and remain unable to work! I do not know what I will do if I am evicted since I have no money to hire movers or to get a storage unit to store my apartment furniture and personal belongings. My very real fear is that I will lose everything when I am physically evicted from the premises. Things are happening as well on the medical front. I will be admitted into the hospital on Monday July 11, 2016 into the ICU for the Neurosurgeon to perform Intracranial Pressure monitoring for 48 hours and then I am scheduled into the OR (operating room) on Wednesday July 13, for additional brain surgery. This journey has been so incredibly difficult and wrought with so many medical unknowns and serious life threatening side effects . I understand that every moment of our existence cannot all be “mountain top” moments and that we each have to spend time in the valley with struggles. I remain faithful and am trying to stay positive and I choose to believe that no circumstance is wasted in your life, the good, the bad, and the ugly are ALL opportunities to GROW and to touch others during our short time here on Earth. Please continue to pray for me and anyone who is financially able please contribute to my fund in the attempt to clear back rent and to keep utilities on and my car from being repossessed!!! 8/17/16 Update (IMPORTANT)

Hello all, My mom wanted me to post an update for her, since she’s still recovering in the hospital: She’s been approved for a small amount of monthly social security payments (I believe they start Sept 15), but the eviction hearing was yesterday (8/16), and so the court ruled in the apartment’s favor. What this means is that mom needs her apartment cleaned and cleared out by the end of the month, otherwise she’ll end up owing the apartment complex even more money when they charge for the furniture/other items still being there. Mom is trying to get social services assistance on an independent living facility and finding community support services. My mom has been trying for months to sell her furniture, and if you/anyone you know has any interest in that and live in the Newark, DE area (or the surrounding areas and can haul the stuff away yourself), please email me at [email protected]. My sister and I have been doing everything that we can to help, so please share this update and donate if you can. We really appreciate all of the people who have given money/time/effort to help our mother, and we really hope we can put the worst of this behind her soon.
