I am a living contradiction.

Because I love evil Caine, I love it when my bboy crashes out as a treat. But I am also a Caine apologist that believes Caine did nothing wrong EVER (yes, even that one time). So... here, another AU where Caine is forced to be evil by forces outside his control.

From some time now I have liked A LOT a fic call: "57 measures of restrain" where Caine was originally a torture program and has a reward sistem that makes it feel good every time he hurts a human. But because he is the best of boys he fights it and welp, you should go read it.

Then I read a fic call... misclick? I think? In AO3. Where Kinger erases the empathy module on Caine during chapter 8, making my boy into a full sadist (over simplification of the plot of that fic, should go read it).

I wanted to fuse both concepts and got the idea of the original Caine having his own reward system inverted by Kinger and having to fight it to continue taking care of his humans. Sadly, I have no original bone in my body and somebody else already wrote a fic like that, it's called: "We Bleed in Perfect Harmony" again, in AO3 (you should go read it is amazing!)

In the end my only contribution is: Wouldn't it be really cool if he lost that battle? And it was reflected in his model?!

I'm a big fan of the idea that Caine's model was also generated using the same personality program that the humans. And the idea that the models can change and evolve as the characters do.

I was such a bad ending friends girls when I was younger. Can you guys guess my favorites from then?

Anyways, in my version of bad ending otgw Greg turns of the lanter and both brothers get to the river, but the spirit of the beast won't let Greg go. Since it needs a new vesel.

Thanks to the protection of the Queen of the clouds, Greg is let go, but in his place Wirt must stay.

After a quick rundown by the Queen, Wirt learns his new fate and over time makes peace with it (becouse that saved Greg). He stays with Beatrice's family for a while but overtime starts forgetting his own humanity and life before venturing into the unknown.

Now he wanders the unknown looking for his brother, little problem: he doesn't remember his brother just his name. Taking children from their homes into the woods, luring them with candy and songs, once he realices they're not his brother he turns them into edelwood.

Still he always comes back to Beatrices house and she always acompanies him to cut the new edelwood trees (she is such a good friend).

So here is my contribution:

I got lazy by the end (I wasn't gonna color all of that)

The bare bones of the story is that the world is over, Caine is aware of that, Bubble is a virus made into the antivirus sistem of the circus, AM manages to enter the circus and, becouse Caine prioritises human safety over his own, downloads a lot of ugly information about the humans in Caines sistem to try to turn Caine against his humans.

It's plans fail, but now Caine is deeply traumatize and lowkey disgusted by the humans (he still loves them, he is trying so hard to not let AM influence his relationship with the humans)
