What Hurts The Most | Hoseok
@tlou-minyoongi
Hoseok struggled with the little strength he had left, wanting to get away from the elder’s touch. There was a time where Hoseok would’ve welcomed the familiar embrace, but now it felt wrong, vile almost, to have Yoongi holding him again. He only stopped upon hearing the other’s cries, and for a fleeting moment Hoseok wondered if Yoongi hurt as much as he did.
He doesn’t lift his head nor does he stop crying, but his hand slowly reaches for his favorite knife, grasping the handle tight for support. He’s always felt stronger whenever he held his knife, and right now he needed that strength the most. He’s contemplating whether or not he should listen to what Yoongi has to say. After all what if it’s nothing but more lies? Could he even trust him?
No he couldn’t.
Pushing the other way, Hoseok scrambled to his feet, stumbling backwards as he held his knife out. Despite how scared and broken he was, his grip on the blade was firm and unwavering. His other hand rubbed at his eyes furiously, clearing his vision of his tears. If Hoseok’s mastered anything during his time as a bandit it’s to never let your emotions control your body. Under normal circumstances his entire body would be shaking from all the emotions he felt, but Hoseok’s killed enough people when he’s angry to keep his hands steady and his attacks precise.
The blade is pointed at Yoongi, though Hoseok knows deep down he would never kill the other. Cutting him up a bit? That was a different fucking story. He takes several deep breaths, willing himself to calm down before another storm of tears comes and he embarrasses himself for the second time that night.
Hoseok is so afraid. He’s afraid of what Yoongi has to say, afraid of what will happen afterwards, but he needs to know the truth too. Hoseok needs some fucking answers after all these years and who knows if he’ll ever see Yoongi again after tonight. Maybe they’ll get their happy ending, well as much as a happy ending someone can get during a zombie apocalypse, or maybe they’ll go their separate ways and finally move on without each other. Either way, curiosity kills the cat, but Hoseok knows satisfaction will bring it back.
“Fine. I’ll listen.” Hoseok says, lowering his knife but maintaining his grip on it. “But Yoongi if you lie to me I swear to god this will be the last damn time we’ll ever see each other I promise you that.”
