Tenna has lost everything: his studio, his home, his lightners, and nearly his life. Despite it all, Tenna remembers being repaired, and he is certain beyond any doubt that Spamton is the one that saved him. But why would he leave, just to come back now? Meanwhile, Spamton is changing. Again. An inky blackness is tearing him to pieces and leaving him fully undone. He wants to find a way to make things right with Tenna, but somewhere, in the back of his mind, a phone is still ringing. In order for them to move forward, it seems like they are both going to have to look back. Why can't the universe just leave them alone?

Spamton's hands wouldn't stay still. He spent an hour that morning rearranging various pieces of trash around his shop, desperate for something to do, hoping that it would get his rambling brain to finally stop. Of course it didn't work. Nothing did. Tenna's back. He's giving me another chance. Why should HE be the one to give YOU a chance? He ABANDONED you, remember? He kicked an errant metal can along the alleyway a little too hard. It felt good. He's not the same person anymore. YOU'RE not the same person anymore. Why does it matter? He punched the brickwork as he rounded a corner, enjoying the sting. He said he'd be back later. Will he really come back later? He ran out of things to hit. Why would he EVER come back? Look at you.
