The TMNT Fanfic Reader's Choice Awards

Welcome! The TMNT Fanfic RCA is a (hopefully) yearly awards event for TMNT fanfiction! It is across every iteration, no matter how old or new, how niche or popular. Fanfiction is nominated by readers and voted for by readers!

All nominations will be placed into the RCA Nominations Spreadsheet, which is accessible for anyone to look through and read the fics. Fics that are nominated multiple times will be featured on the RCA blog during the gap between nominations and voting.

This is a community event! Interact with the community! Go leave comments on your favorite fics, give authors kudos, get into a conversation with the author or others about the fics you love!

I have a question: Do people have to nominate your story? Or do you have to nominate yourself?

I just found out this exists because it showed up in my “For you” section. Even though my fanfic isn’t finished yet—it’s a long story, and I have four other one-shots—it’s possible the story will be ready by next year...

Anyway, I’d like to participate next year. Sorry if this is a silly question 😅😶‍🌫️

It's not a silly question! You can nominate your own story as well, yes. That's sort of what I expect, especially for the "new authors" section! It also doesn't need to be completed to count. :)

He was young, had the signs of a life hard won and fought through, but he tried. Absorbed absolutely anything his family would give him, even when it was nothing at all. Dark eyes, taking in any and all of the light he could just to find himself. It was a tragedy in three parts just to watch him thrive off wavering candlelights and embers, wandering around the halls like a detective finding hints of some past crime. Mikey squares himself. Finds that thread left in him that’s farther and farther away every day. Gio deserves the light, he can make some for him. He can. Or: a series of standalone oneshots about Giorgio Hamato finding a home, getting adopted, and being loved back--not necessarily in that order. Set in both timelines.
