“The books we love, they love us back.” - Jay Kristoff, Nevernight ig: books.andcookies
you’re not my homeland anymore, so what am i defending now?
this poem lives rent free in my mind
Sputnik Sweetheart, Haruki Murakami

💜 Welcome to the club 💜
I find comfort in knowing that people who I’ve cut out of my life are left with this version of me that simply doesn’t exist anymore. The memory and image of me that they have isnt who I am, and I’m happy that it’s that way. I’ve changed and grown and they wont ever get the chance to know the better version of myself that I’ve become during their absence.

Hi Ken, wanna go for a ride? 🤍
“But we cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever.”
— Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
inducing jealousy to get attention from someone who cares about you it’s not cool it’s actually pretty heartbreaking and you will probably lead that person to spend entire nights not sleeping fearing of losing you so don’t do that
Your life seems so adventurous and beautiful and exciting and mines is just so boring and un exciting because where I live is not so fun and it's just a normal town with nothing beautiful in it
Every place has beauty in it. You just have to look at it differently. The first pic below is the one I took in the same place of the second pic from Google maps. See the difference? Don’t look at things the way they are, look at things the way you want them to be.
I love when someone gives me a present it could be the smallest thing and I would still explode with happiness like today a kid (they were 7 or something) gave me (for no apparent reason) a rubber shaped like a bunny and I was on the verge of tears like…. thank you lil friend…. I feel blessed…. I will protect this rubber forever
“I never wish to be easily defined.”
— Franz Kafka (via thesoutherly)
“My only relief is to sleep. When I’m sleeping, I’m not sad, I’m not angry, I’m not lonely, I’m nothing.”
— Medoff, Jillian. Hunger Point. (via suspend)
I love little picture frames, I love supermarkets at night, I love bikes with two seats, I love the sunset in my hometown, I love the smell of fresh blankets, the voice of my mom, I love big fields and tennis courts, I love colorful marbles, I love clouds and cotton candy, I love holding hands, I love little cars, I love the lights reflecting on wet asphalt, I love busses going far away, planes coming from cities on the other side of the world, I love big headphones and pools at night. I love the skin behind the ears. I love bubbles, I love accents, I love plants with big leaves, I love pink skies, I love dollhouses and tiny animals, I love round stones, I love fireplaces, I love the mist in the morning, the sound of scissor cutting thorugh paper, I love cats with hair that goes on and on, I love music boxes and yo-yos. I love hot air balloons, the smell of fresh paint, I love old dogs with kind eyes, I love the sun, I love you I love you I love you
“Nobody will ever love you as much as an artist can. On your worst days, they will find poetry in the knots of your hair.”
— That Could Have Been Me (k.p.k)
It's always “you already have too many books” and never “wow, tell me which book you want to read so I can buy it for you”
