Alot of people could go their entire lives without seeing a dead body.

You saw dead bodies on a daily basis.

While you weren't a mass murderer who saw bodies due to being the reason they were bodies and not living human beings, you were a mortician. You dealt with the bodies serial killers left behind, and other causes of course. Just the ones that were murdered were always more interesting.

Never have you dealt with a dead body that wouldn't stay dead.

And you weren't going to because bodies don't come back alive.

Well that's what you thought before word spread of an outbreak that brought the dead back to life.

The outbreak was rare and only small signs of it had appeared. You haven't encountered a undead yet.

Everyone called the undead zombies. But they weren't like your normal tv media zombies. There was only a 50% chance of them being the evil flesh eating kind. Most were normal, or as normal as you can be being an animated corpse.

The feral ones were eliminated immediately.

The others were sent to a facility where no one really knew what went on.

Rules stated when someone died they were to be surveyed by the government to see if they would return.

You hated these rules cause they meant a lot of the bodies you prepared for burial were decayed, nasty smelling, and all had the same look to them.

Yet you had never seen a dead body that looked like him.

Some old lady brought him to you saying he was her son. She looked dodgy. Only giving vague details of his death, saying his name was Yunho, and leaving before you could check he was cleared by the government.

Sighing you grabbed gloves and your paper to do some basic tests.

The guy on the coffin (you really needed to get a actual table) looked young, in his twenties. His skin was pale with a almost clear color that made his veins really easy to spot. From the skin that was exposed you could see the usual purple veins, but majority were green to your confusion.

They were beautiful.

Like colored cracks in glass.

His appearance looked only slightly decayed and he had no rotting smell so you assumed he hadn't been dead for long.

As you out your pencil to your paper to write stats down, your lead broke. You turned to your supply counter to grab another, and when you turned your heart almost stopped.

Yunho was exactly how you left him laid upon the makeshift coffin table.
