Rapinoe has one good corner out of 10. I don’t get it. Everyone praises the ONE that works and forgets the 9 she shanks out of bounds. She has them every game. One against mexico too. Make it make sense- you have plenty of others who can ACTUALLY play corners consistently. i’m just so confused.

rapinoe is washed up i’m sorry. is she a great activist for lgbtq+ rights? yes. has she been a leading figure in fighting for black lives matter? yes. those are great, however, there’s no place for her on the field. you have Rodman on the bench, against Costa Rica, and you’re playing Rapinoe??? who played a horrible square ball that put our back line in danger? who puts in 40% effort? who can only play 35 minutes max? am i the only who is so confused? she’s a great leader- ON THE BENCH. AT PRACTICE. Sullivan is not the answer- maybe temporarily but she’s not strong enough psychically, her long balls aren’t connecting well, and overall she doesn’t seem confident- she doesn’t take control of the midfield like Ertz does. i just see her as a major liability in the middle. she gets eaten up by more physical teams. also her service hasn’t been the best on corners- we need it whipped in with pace, not floated so the keeper can catch it. just my thoughts.

why can’t we use VAR correctly in womens soccer? i mean look at the last olympics/world cup. we’ve missed a PK on horan in the beginning and how was that red overturned? why can’t we have good refs in womens sports? if that challenge was against Ronaldo, the player would have been fined and sent off ☠️ im at a loss of words. this ref has to be fired there’s no way you can justify that decision. my guess is she didn’t want to change it, but VAR told her too bc her initial decision was correct. also becky has played so bad lmao.
