I’ve been reading a bunch of character prompt lists recently it’s actually giving me ideas. this would never work in canon but valzhang au with pastor/priest frank with wayward leo...frank is like the least religious character in the canon but i feel like he'd take to being a pastor if he'd been raised religious for some reason. he'd be so serious and gentle and then leo would be his forbidden fruit 🤔
Hazel viewed herself as a cursed child. She didn't think she was a good person. She didn't allow herself to want too much otherwise she would end up like her mother. She expressed guilt over 'helping' Gaea. Hazel related to the goddamn minatour over being viewed as the monster child.
Hazel and her self loathing. Hazel and her guilt, her "curse". It's just she is such a good person and has a very low opinion on herself, it's heartbreaking.

hazel with nonstop homesickness. she has mixed emotions about it all and all the trauma she suffered there, but there is some part of her, some tiny childish part of her, that wants to go home. some part of her that wants her mom. she visits modern day new orleans, hoping it’ll help, but its not the same. nothing is the same anymore. she longs for a home she can’t get back to in a time she isn’t entirely sure she wants to go back to.
frank's firewood has an obvious parallel with the curse of achilles in that the curse makes it so there is now one way you will die, one weakness. except frank's wood doesn't make him invulnerable. i was wondering what would happen to him if he got a mortal injury. would he survive it, or would his stick burst into flames? i'm almost leaning towards the first one, just because i think it'd be interesting if frank could get fatally injured but never die from it.
hazel: there doesn't seem to be a good reason for anyone alive to use twitter. dead people on the other hand could use a space like this to express themselves and have community and share photographs and such

it’s so special to me that so much of fan culture is textual analysis for the love of the game. like thank god there are people in my phone who are also thinking about this thing i love so much that they are writing transformative fiction as character studies and setting clips of the show to music with theme-relevant lyrics and writing long text posts analyzing every line of dialogue like!! yay!!!
One of my favorite hc for nico is that he refuses to smile at cameras. He's that kind of person that always have that look of deep suffering in photos. Take a picture with him and the "i was kidnapped please help me, i am being held hostage" look is garanteed.
His biggest and only victims (since the rest gave up on the second pic) are his sister and his bf. Both tend to give the sweetest smiles at cameras, which makes him look even deeper in sorrow...
its fun catching jokes and riordanisms that don't make any sense for hazel's pov. her talking about nuclear bombs is one - not an impossible reference, but not really one that makes sense for her to make. another one is her making fun of the amazon named doris, a name more common than her own when she was growing up.
I’m honestly surprised that Hazel accepted that Leo was a Real Human Person so quickly and didn’t immediately assume that he was a clay monstrosity created by Gaea specifically for the purpose of infiltrating the quest so that there weren’t actually seven demigods and tormenting her. She has experience with people she cares about being puppets to Gaea, whose to say the next step up wouldn’t be the Greek version of a shabati
watching rick and morty for the first time... unfortunately i think this is something leo valdez would watch. even worse is that so would frank, and when the two of them and hazel have to decide what to watch with dinner the poor girl suffers
