Members of a Pontic Greek resistance group. During the First World War, the Ottoman Empire’s Young Turk leaders began a policy of nationalist ethnic cleansing. It aimed primarly at the Armenian minority, but also at Assyrians and Anatolian Greeks. By the end of the war over 1,200,000 Armenians had been forcibly deported and left to die in desert camps.
No greater mistake can be made than to imagine that what has been written latest is always the more correct; that what is written later on is an improvement on what was written previously; and that every change means progress.

The police have constantly failed women.
The man charged with Sarah Everard murder was reported for indecent exposure 3 DAYS before Sarah’s death. How many times has this man victimised women, how many times has he gotten away with it.
We know for a fact that these types of crimes rarely occur spontaneously, there is an escalation of behaviours.
Libby Squire was murdered in 2019 on a night out. Her murderer had previous convictions for other sexually motivated crimes. He stalked women. He stood outside of women’s windows and masturbated. 18 months before Libby Squire’s death, he terrorised women. But no one took it seriously.
How many women need to be assaulted, how many need to die to be taken seriously. 97% of women in the UK have been sexually assaulted, with 96% not reporting because they believed it wouldn’t change anything.
And you know what, they’re right. Look at the history, women know. We always have.
while you’re looking up videos on youtube on how to do a certain makeup look or how to lose weight or how to get a thinner waist there’s a man out there your age googling watching videos on how to accumulate wealth, how to have more discipline, how to gain strength via weight lifting... just something to think about
in the 1930s women couldn't do shit without a creature from the black lagoon or frankenstein monster trying to fuck with them
