Toby must have said that a million times in just that one day, but he couldn't think of anything else. He and Kelsey had come so far in just the one year they'd been together. Their children were five months old now, their marriage eleven months. It was blowing his mind. That was why he asked her that, yet again, as he came into their bedroom from getting the twins back to sleep. He sat down beside his wife on the bed again. "A year. That's goddamn insane. How have you not gotten sick of me yet?"

Riley had sat in the hospital bed. She was about ready to leave but needed someone to take her home. She called a friend. She had broken her ankle in an ice skating accident. Toby had been a bit surprised to get the phone call from Riley, but it didn't bother him one bit. He'd been in hospitals before, he knew how unfun they could be and any familiar face made them better. He knocked on the open door to announce his presence and gave a light smile to both people in the room. "Hey. You ready?" He crossed the room to her bed.

With how busy he’d been lately, Toby felt like he hadn’t gotten to see his wife in ages. Whenever he got home in the evening, his growing babies would demand his attention and it was clear that Kelsey would be in need of a break. He was happy to give one to her, but he missed her dearly. The text she sent him while he was finishing up a lesson told him she felt the same way.

When Toby got to the house, he was happy to see the twins already fast asleep in their playpen in the living room. He loved them with all his heart, but it would be nice to have some time with his wife. He went further into the house to find her, eventually locating her in their kitchen, and he quietly went up behind her and cupped his hands over her eyes. “Guess who,” he requested cheesily, resting his chin on her shoulder.

“Thanks for coming out and visiting.” Denver said sitting in the visitor room. “it has literally been shit here, i’ve manage to get into three fights on my first day, hence while I couldn’t have visitors for a week.”

"Yeah, I expected something like that to happen." Toby sat across from him, fiddling with the little visitor's badge they'd given him. "I'm surprised you didn't ask to have me taken off your list, really, I figured you'd be in here plotting my death the whole while." He smiled lightly. "You doing okay?"

Avalynn peered through the screen at Toby, “Okay, but now I have a real question for you.” She said. The beginning of their Skype chat of course had started with telling him how much she loved the adrenaline rush of being on stage in front of so many people. “When you found out that Kelsey was pregnant with the twins, what exactly did you feel? Did you feel sick? Excited? Scared?” She asked.

Toby leaned against his arm, looking at the screen in slight surprise when her mood shifted. "Okay, shoot," he invited with a nod, straighting up in his seat. "What exactly did I feel?" he repeated, frowning for a moment at the question. "Uh...I was really excited, but really nervous too. Mostly excited. It got kind of scarier as she got further along but a lot more exciting too. Why d'you ask?"
